Le Rocher Saint-Lazare — Restaurant in Paris

The food was good, but took quite a long time to serve, and the price are way to expensive for what we ate.

I asked for a croque monsieur, and zndes up with a sort of toast, the kind that is finished with 3 bites, and I had to pay 13€ for that.

The same can be said for the fish and chips or the chicken.

The server refused that we took the menu, because it was only up to 15h, and it was 15h09

On top of that, th view from the place is literally a construction site

L’hospitalité devrait être l’âme d’un établissement, mais ici, elle semble avoir déserté les lieux.

Alors qu’il faisait 0°C en plein soir d’hiver, j’ai osé demander un chocolat chaud – une requête somme toute banale, mais qui a visiblement heurté le gérant. D’un ton excédé, il m’a rétorqué qu’il ne servait plus de boissons chaudes (il était 19h !!), bien que la carte les affiche encore sans la moindre mention contraire.

Mais l’apogée du mépris fut atteint lorsque, après avoir réglé ma boisson froide, j’ai simplement demandé à remplir ma gourde d’eau. Ce monsieur, dans un excès d’auto-congratulation, insiste sur la "grandeur" de son geste alors qu’il aurait voulu me faire PAYER DE L'EAU. Sans sa "générosité", il m’aurait envoyé remplir ma gourde aux toilettes (ma gourde était grande ca aurait été dans tous les cas impossible). Une proposition aussi absurde qu’humiliante, d’autant plus qu’elle contrevient à la loi. L’article L. 541-15-10 du Code de l’environnement est pourtant clair : tout établissement de restauration ou débit de boisson a l’obligation de fournir gratuitement de l’eau potable aux clients, sans exiger de contrepartie.

Faut-il rappeler qu’un commerce repose avant tout sur l’expérience client ? À ceux qui hésiteraient encore à pousser la porte de ce lieu, un conseil : allez là où l’on vous respecte. L'accueil y sera bien plus digne, et l’eau… aussi accessible que la...

Awesome spot in the middle of Paris to eat some great food or have a drink with your friends.

Went there last Friday and the food, the attention and everything was on point.

Really recommended to have drinks with friends or even a cool date.

The owner and the waiters were really nice and polite.
