After a week of being in a large group and newly on my own, traveling solo through Paris, I wanted to eat something quick and close to the hotel so I wasn't lost or if I had difficulty with anything could retreat quickly to the safety of my room. I found Les Frangins because it was essentially next door to where I was staying but I'm so glad I did! The atmosphere is much more casual than some of the other places I have eaten but it was exactly what I needed! I sat down next to the shop cat, Tach and the server was very sympathetic to my struggling french. He was very sweet and accommodating even though I could barely figure out how to order for myself. He checked in on me without being too overbearing and always with a smile! The pork was good, although I ordered it medium and was a touch dry, the teriyaki sauce and hericots verts helped a ton! I also ordered the salad de fruit as their dessert du jour as a healthy option. It was just okay but he also gave me a citrus simple syrup to drizzle on top which made it a bit better! There is a pinball machine in the corner and I got to watch several people take turns playing while also people watching. Afterwards, they gave me a brochure on a local art show going on that is near the airbnb I'm heading to tomorrow which was so helpful! Overall, I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something to feel cozy and familiar while you are in Paris and want good service with a smile that isn't...
