Maison Bès — Restaurant in Paris

I don't write many reviews, but this place is a must go if you're visiting Paris. It was probably the best meal we had outside a 2 or 3 star restaurant. It was empty when we arrived, please do not let that scare you away. We left there with tons of questions as to why there wasn't a line around the corner to have dinner. There was nothing we could come up with, the food was amazing (let the photos speak for themselves), the service was on point and friendly, and the entire place spoke to how much they care about the food and service. This is for the crowd who nit picks everything but yes the bathrooms were very clean. I could not find anything wrong with the place. I'm writing this because I think it's criminal to have such an establishment not be filled with customers 24/7. The restaurant seems to be in the hands of the 2nd or 3rd generation of family and I feel like they genuinely care about what they are doing. Thanks...

I went to this restaurant with my husband after a long day at the museum to enjoy a French meal. He ordered the Beef Tartar and I had the Pepper sauce steak & fries. Everything about our meal was pleasant. I had a bite of the beef tartar and it was delicious. My steal and fries with fresh pepper sauce was so very tasty and a must have. What a treasure! Maison Bes was recommended to us by Stephane, a concierge at Maison Astor, and located a short walk around the corner. After encountering a lot of lackluster service in Paris, Maison Bes was a wonderful counterbalance. Run by a lovely woman, accompanied by her boyfriend and daughter, the service felt like we were welcomed into the family. The food was fresh and delicious.
