When I say a meal at this restaurant was one of the best experiences of my life, I am not exaggerating. I don't even know where to start. The venue, the service, the people, the FOOD, the experience - all of it was 100/10.

My family went to celebrate my mother's birthday and we really wanted good food and good portions because my family is very particular about food. Saw the reviews for a cute little Italian spou and thought we would give it a shot. From the outside, my mother seemed disappointed because it looked like an ordinary pizzaria that would only do takeaways and she had dressed up very nice to celebrate. But when we walked inside and were taken to the dining area at the back; the interior was so beautiful and elegant.

We hadn't even made a booking but they were happy to take us in. They gave us a lovely large table and the waiters were so accommodating. We were taken care of so well. We don't speak french, but one of the waiters spoke English and took such good care of us. All of the waiters checked in on us to see if everything was ok :)) Everyone was so friendly. Our waiter recommended some meals and we were so excited we wanted to try EVERYTHING!! He was brilliant. I didnt catch his name, but he wasn't from france (spoke perfect French though). Please give him another huge thank you from us if you know who it was working that day!

I don't remember the names of everything we ordered, but there was mushroom pasta, pesto type pasta, and a tomato linguine of some sort and it was the BEST PASTA I have eaten in my life. The mushroom pasta stole the show. We loved it so much we ordered another portion. (portions were great!!) We also knew we were only there one time so we ordered the vegetarian pizza (we were full but we powered through), and it was beautiful Just beautiful. I would next time go for a ham or some sort of meat pizza because they looked amazing (like i said we're difficult family when deciding what to eat so we didnt get to try) :( )

Dessert: sighs thinking about it . The TIRAMISU. Best one i've ever eater. THE CHOCOLATE CAKE. (Tasted just like ferrero rocher - I am not complaining, by the way!) THE PISTACHIO CAKE. OH MY GOODNESS. I dont think I can go on. BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE. We also casually mentioned it was my mum's birthday as soon as we walked in - the waiters were just so friendly we couldn't stop talking to them haha - and they brought out the cake with a candle and the whole restaurant sang. She was so happy I thought she was going to cry.

Please leave a good tip, because they absolutely deserve it.

You all took such good care of my family and I cannot thank you enough. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day and such a memorable experience. If I ever find myself near France again, I will trek down to Paris just to have a meal at La Matta again....

Terrible service and very Bad Food, their vegetables antipasti & most of the pasta dishes we ordered, were definitely very badly cooked and had nothing to do with Italian cuisine. We sent it back. Uncooked! eggplants and uncooked zucchini in 3 dishes, 1 cold and 2 supposedly hot. As to my personal observation, in the kitchen were amatures with 0 knowledge or experience of Italian cooking. Even their Chardonnay was tasteless, we left a 1/3 of a bottle! A thing which never happened before for the 3 of us. We usualy order a second bottle. We or our friends will not eat here again. We did not try their Pizzas, so I have no opnion in their regad. Our recommendation: that their cooks shold go to an Italian cooking school. And that their server/waiter improves his practice and table manners. A nightmare of...

Courage...

this was my second visit, food was nice, but service was poor. Politely asked for l'addition (the bill) but the server ignored me repeatedly. It was just odd. When I asked for the last time, he spoke awkwardly in French and pulled my table away and asked me to go out directly. Could be a language/ culture problem but it's just odd...

Great food. One of the friendliest eateries in Paris. We went back for a second night. We bothe loved the vegetarian pizza. Another evening I ate Pata Voegele. I've never had so many clams in my dish. It was delicious. Go and enjoy!
