Printanier — Restaurant in Paris

I was extremely disappointed in the service provided by Printanier. We wanted to have a coffee and nobody informed us that we should stay only for a limited time as then it would turn into a restaurant. When we asked to order food the waiter stated that we should move to a different table , we said we did not want that as we had luggage with us and then he made a sarcastic expression with his face which was a surprise to see. After ordering coffee another waiter 10 minutes after bringing our order came with the receipt and did not inform us in advance that we could stay only for a limited period of time as then they would have to turn the cafe in a restaurant. He only came and told us that we need to go after we had paid without any explanation. Disappointing really as it was our last day in Paris and we had a lovely time overall.

I understand that shops run in their own way but they should inform the customers...

If you are a foreigner, just don't go to this restaurant. The waiter that served us took more than 20 minutes to come to talk to us despite seeing us calling him for minutes. He was busy chatting with other clients (and even taking pics of some women that -probably- asked him to take the pic) but he could, at least, tell us to wait a bit.

We went to talk to the manager cause it's important to let him know about this kind of behavior, but he was completely on the waiter's side but he didn't see what we saw. We were so disappointed, that's why we tell you: if you want to have a good time, avoid...

Despite what others had said about the service, I had a pleasant experience here. The waiter who served me was so kind and always smiling. Half of the staff were smiling and greeting you, the other half had the serious French look, but they were still kind and attentive. Whenever I smiled at them, they would break the serious look to smile back at and greet you. I had the burrata bread, which was absolutely fantastic. I spent my time there eating, drinking an Aperol Spritz, and reading my book whilst enjoying the outdoors air. It will be an unforgettable moment in...
