Qianxi Hot Pot — Restaurant in Paris

Horrible experience, this place was an extremely disorganized establishment. Came in as a party of 2 and waited about 20-30 mins before being seated. A party who came in 10 mins after us got seated before us. After we finally got seated and ordered at 8:30pm, we waited for the food. The first thing that came was the squid, then the other meats, and vegetables. Then we are still waiting for the soup so we can start cooking and eating. 20 mins later, no soup. 30 mins later, no soup. 45 mins later, no soup. 1 hour later, still NO SOUP!

During that wait time, we checked with at least 5 employees about the soup and they all promised they are checking on it and it’s coming right away. (Staff spoke Chinese like we do, so no trouble communicating there). They don’t look that busy either, I saw some staff just walking around wiping tables and looking for stuff to do.

We saw parties who were seated after us all got their soups, some are almost done with their meal. The last straw was there was this larger group (who came in maybe 45 mins after my party was seated) ordered and got their order within 10 mins of ordering. We had to stare at the meats with no soup to cook, on an empty stomach. What kind of torture is this?

After the 1 hour wait mark, now 9:30pm, the staff again promised the soup was coming so we waited another 5 mins and at this point, we had it and finally WALKED OUT. The ice that preserved meats all melted at this point, looks disgusting. I don’t know if they will throw away those served but uneaten meats or will they resell it to other customers as some of those meats were not cheap. None of my concerns at this point, but I regret coming in here and for not walking out earlier as we still have to find another place to eat and there were much less food choices at around 9:30pm-10:00pm.

In summary, I’d say avoid this place unless you want to deal dishonest staff, a disorganized restaurant and leaving with an empty stomach after...

The food was absolutely delicious and the quality was excellent! The ambience is perfect, warm, welcoming, and comfortable. I arrived about an hour before closing and was able to enjoy my meal in peace without ever feeling rushed. Even when I was the last person inside waiting for my Uber, the manager was polite and considerate. I decided to step out a little earlier than my car arrived because I understood the staff had a long day and deserved their rest. ⭐️This was actually my first time ordering hotpot by myself (normally my Chinese friends order for me), and I really appreciated how patient and attentive the waiter was. He explained everything clearly, walked me through how the hotpot works, and spoke excellent English and French in addition to Chinese. That level of multilingual service is rare and really impressive..it shows they care about making every guest feel comfortable. The restaurant itself is easy to spot, right on the street, and they also have private rooms for hotpot if you’re coming in a group. Another highlight is their generous hotpot buffet, it was my first time hearing about buffet 🥘 and I was pleasantly surprised. The buffet allows up to 5 rounds, but honestly even 2–3 rounds are more than enough! The portions are very generous. 🎶 The music was just right (not too loud), the service was fast, and the whole environment was very clean and comfortable. I left feeling full, happy, and very impressed with both the food and the service. I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy authentic Chinese hotpot in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 🇫🇷 La nourriture était absolument délicieuse et la qualité excellente ! L’ambiance est parfaite, chaleureuse, accueillante et confortable. Je suis arrivée environ une heure avant la fermeture et j’ai pu profiter de mon repas en toute tranquillité, sans jamais me sentir pressée. Même lorsque j’étais la dernière cliente à l’intérieur en attendant mon Uber, le responsable est resté poli et attentionné. J’ai décidé de sortir un peu plus tôt que l’arrivée de ma voiture car je comprenais que le personnel avait eu une longue journée et méritait de se reposer.

C’était en fait ma première fois à commander un hotpot seule (normalement ce sont mes amis chinois qui commandent pour moi), et j’ai vraiment apprécié la patience et l’attention du serveur. Il a tout expliqué clairement, m’a montré comment fonctionne le hotpot, et parlait un excellent anglais et français en plus du chinois. Ce niveau de service multilingue est rare et vraiment impressionnant… cela montre qu’ils se soucient de mettre chaque client à l’aise.

Le restaurant est facile à trouver, directement sur la rue, et ils disposent aussi de salles privées pour le hotpot si vous venez en groupe. Un autre point fort est leur généreux buffet de hotpot. C’était ma première fois d’entendre parler du “toon” et j’ai été agréablement surprise. Le buffet permet jusqu’à 5 services, mais honnêtement 2–3 suffisent largement ! Les portions sont très généreuses.

La musique était parfaite (pas trop forte), le service rapide, et tout l’environnement très propre et confortable. Je suis repartie rassasiée, heureuse et très impressionnée par la qualité de la nourriture et du service.

Wierdly rude staff, the old lady to find the reservation couldn't find it. Then assigned us a table in a corner that looked like a partly renovated locker (Table 1).

When she finally found our reservation she told us where to go, but when we wanted to go there, she just blocked the stairwell because she kept talking to her staff ignoring our request to be let through until finally a young waiter pulled her to the side.

Seems like just only famous to Chinese people and westerners are not welcome. There where 2 waiters on the second floor that spoke english but that old lady was unforgivable rude. When we where paying, instead of taking care of the customer, mid process of card payment she switched to talk to staff and ignored us again for multiple minutes.
