We went here as it was near our hotel and the reviews seemed very positive! The Poulet crémeux aux champignons (creamy chicken with mushrooms and rice) was incredible and had a very deep flavour, however it was just a little too salty. I loved it, but if you aren't a fan of salty dishes it may not be for you.
The fries in my partner's dish were exceptional! So crispy yet so soft and fluffy at the same time.
Sadly, but by no means a deal-breaker, the desert had a single raspberry that had started to go bad, but this can happen with anything made with fresh fruit and just something that was overlooked. The rest was great. And we were completely full by the time we had noticed anyway!
For the price in Paris (€18 per main dish) it was delicious and I would rate it 4.5 stars if I could. It's very cosy and quiet inside and the waiter seemed friendly. He took the time to explain menu items in English for another table near us too. Definitely...

We were helped by the same gentleman, who is as nice and patient as could be. At this point, we have had most of the items on the menu and have not had a bad dish yet. I believe their small menu allows them to perfect each one, but I assure you there is plenty to choose from. Thanks so much for the welcoming atmosphere and wonderful food!
Original review: My fiancé and I found this little restaurant across the street from our hotel. We went for dinner, and it was excellent - one of the best meals we’ve had in Paris so far - and very affordable. We ordered the steak, duck, and their famous vacherin à la framboise. Each was delicious. The service was fantastic, the street is quiet, all around...
Read moreThis is about as close to an old fashioned bistro as you will find in Paris. Owner up front with the public and someone in the back cooking up delicious French food- the real stuff. Pierre the boss is friendly and Schum is patronized by locals only. Hard to get into for lunch and easier for dinner (It's office land). Everything is prepared onsite, even takes a bit of time to arrive- like 10 mins. That's good. Good wine personally chosen and the prices are middle range with a great rapport qualite' prix. You won't eat much better in the 16th but you may pay a lot more elsewhere. 4 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe. Highly...
