I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining here in Paris, and I must say, it was utterly disappointing in every aspect. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, we were greeted with hostility from our server, whose behavior was not only rude but also racist. He practically threw our menus on the table and seemed to have a personal vendetta against our group.
Throughout the meal, the server's attitude only worsened. He nearly smashed glasses on our table, forgot to serve some of our dishes, and outright declined to allow us to cut a birthday cake for the celebrant. His treatment of the birthday boy was particularly appalling, displaying a complete lack of respect and decency.
As for the food, it was nothing short of a disaster. The dishes were exceptionally bland and pathetic, lacking any semblance of flavor or creativity. What's more, despite claiming to be an Italian-styled pseudo-French restaurant, they only serve pizzas on Saturdays, which was a huge disappointment considering it was my husband's birthday dinner.
The menu itself was a total bore, exuding a pretentious "playing too hard to be bougie vibe" that was off-putting. It's evident that the establishment has zero respect for people of color, as the server was seen happily mingling with French or white patrons but turned his nose up at us, despite us speaking in French to make it convenient for him to understand.
Overall, this was by far the worst dining experience I've had during my time in Paris, and I can confidently say that Piccolino is the worst food place in the Lauriston neighborhood. It was a complete waste of money and time, and the food was barely edible – it's more suited for hospital trays than restaurant plates. Perhaps if the server fixed his attitude, one might still have a chance of salvaging a better experience, but until then, I strongly advise against dining at this...

The food - wow! Yes, when in France, come to this Italian restaurant. I know how that sounds but the food was amazing. The pastas were cooked perfectly Al dente and the right balance of sauce to pasta.
We got a mushroom pasta, veal cutlet and a tomato meat pasta - wonderful. I cannot express how light the pasta felt after eating. Usually I feel full and heavy, but this place is a must try. The rustic bread was a nice add!
Tiramisu - just look at the picture. It’s a no brainer must try. So decadent, not too sweet but so smooth.
The atmosphere is cozy vibes. It’s not that big of a place but not at...
Read moreI made a reservation through the website for my family and received confirmation that the reservation was accepted. We arrived for a holiday dinner at a restaurant all the way from the Loire Valley with three small children on a rainy and cold day. When we entered the restaurant, the restaurant manager approached us and calmly said that he had no room and that our reservation was canceled because it was busy. That's how he sent us to look for another place. A little humanity and proper treatment would have helped the difficult experience we had. No matter how delicious the food is - the...
