THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN – ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND DANGEROUS
I have no idea how this place is still open, especially on Champs-Élysées, one of the most famous streets in the world. Soprano is a complete disgrace — not only to Italian food, but to human decency. If you care about your health, your dignity, or your money, STAY FAR AWAY.
I ordered what was advertised as a seafood spaghetti in tomato sauce. What I received looked like it came from a sewer — a watery, red-tinted slop filled with half-dead, barely cooked mussels. The smell alone was enough to make me gag. But stupidly, I tasted it. Within minutes I was in the bathroom vomiting, and my stomach was in agony for the rest of the day. This wasn’t just bad food — this was spoiled, dangerous, and possibly toxic.
As if that wasn’t enough, I had also ordered a portion of mussels alone — and believe me, they were even worse. They reeked, were cold, and felt like they had been sitting out all day. Honestly, I wouldn’t feed this to a stray animal.
The pizza? A total joke. The crust was charred black on the edges, while the middle was a wet, sloppy mess of uncooked dough and oily toppings. I’ve had better food from gas stations. Nothing was edible. Everything looked and tasted like trash.
To top off this horror show, the waiter couldn’t speak a single word of English — in the middle of Paris’ busiest tourist area! No explanations, no help, no service. Just confusion and a blank stare.
It felt like a scam. A trap for unsuspecting tourists who assume anything on Champs-Élysées must be decent. This place is not just terrible — it’s a danger to public health.
I genuinely believe this restaurant should be reported to health authorities immediately. It is unsanitary, unprofessional, and unforgivable. I left feeling disgusted, sick, and robbed.

I came to this restaurant back during New Year’s 2025 and had an amazing memory of their truffle pasta, so much so that I confidently brought my entire work team back here in June, expecting the same experience. Unfortunately, everything has changed for the worse. And i'm not one to write bad reviews, but this time was too much.
While the dish still exists under the same name (despite the restaurant having rebranded), the pasta type was different, and worse, the flavor was completely gone. What we received was a bowl of heavy cream pasta. It tasted very bland, no truffle taste, no seasoning, not even salt. But of course the price stayed the same. I couldn't finish my plate. The dessert was melting. Embarrassingly, everyone at my table was disappointed.
As for the service… let’s just say it matched the food. Staff seemed passive, unengaged, and the energy overall was uninviting. We were a group, the waiter asked us to calculate all the bill by hand for each person, instead of just make us pay one by one very much unprofessional.
I’m honestly shocked at the decline. I really wanted this to be a lovely dinner with my friends, and instead, it became a shared regret. Absolutely not planning to return. This is a hard NO.

Read moreDon’t come here unless you’re looking to be belittled. The food was mediocre at best. Staff seemed disinterested and unapproachable, with little effort to create a welcoming atmosphere. It felt more like they were doing us a favour by letting us eat there. Not to mention there was especially one arrogant bald waiter who clearly has an oversized ego.
And to top it off, the whole experience felt off from the moment we ordered. We didn’t ask for anything extra after, yet we were made to feel guilty and like a burden, receiving unpleasant looks from the waiter. The only hint of kindness came from the younger employees.
Sadly, this was the only place we visited in Paris where we had problems, and it completely ruined our last day. If you want a better experience, there are plenty of other places nearby that offer much better food, friendlier service, and far more value for your money; not just a money grab. Even McDonald’s had better service, if that tells you anything. So hopefully reconsider your visit to this...
