Sous les Cerisiers — Restaurant in Paris

I drove my wife and son to this restaurant. We had previously ordered from deliveroo and she thought the food was quite good so insisted that we visit them. When my wife arrived we couldn’t get parking so decided to order take away. That is when it all began. The folks that took her order told her all she could order was the bento box which she was fine with but then they told my wife some items that were listed on the menu for the bento box such as miso soup she couldn’t have because she was ordering it take out. And if she wanted these items she would have to pay extra for them. She said didn’t understand and they got upset at her. First when the food was ready instead of handing it over to her they shoved it at her. At first my wife was baffled and thought perhaps she misunderstood but then they proceeded to throw the check at her to pay. When she confronted them about their behavior and stated that she felt as though they didn’t want her business because they then took the food away from her and proceeded to ignore her. She started to tell them that she had discovered their restaurant on deliveroo and came specifically to discover the restaurant but decided to leave since they ignored her. We have never seen such rude behavior by a restaurant and experienced such bad customer service. This is a shame because the food is quite good but the people skills are horrible so we will never set foot in this restaurant. We hope others follow our example because restaurants such as this one need to understand the value of a customer..::And that they can’t expect to treat customers any old way and stay in business. Menu did not change since years, no flexibility in the choice of bento box in case you are allergic to one of the ingredients. Horrible attitude to loyal customers which is unacceptable if you want to stay in business. Completely disrespectful way to respond and just basically say to your face - having an empty restaurant if you don’t want to sit on the counter - go away and choose another place.

Staff is nice. Portions are huge - even too big for a menu. However, I found tall the plates somewhat boring. Nothing interesting for the price tag I eould have expected something more special in taste and presentation. 58eur menu and some choices are even extra on top and drinks plus.. could be a solid 4star for...
