Tabac De La Tour — Restaurant in Paris

Well, what an absolutely horrible experience Tabac De La Tour.

Just arrived back in Paris, to introduce my children to this wonderful city. My mistake that this restaurant was our first stop (down the street from our rented apartment) straight after leaving the airport.

My wife wanted breakfast with a 🇫🇷croissant, and this is a lunch spot. No harm, right? So she leaves with the kids.

I stayed behind to order espresso and relax on the patio. When my wife returned from the bakery/chocolate shop, the waiter/host said that she couldn’t sit on the patio with me and the children. As we would take up too much space. Mind you that the patio was completely empty, as well as majority of the interior- not a sole having much. That should have told me all I needed to know, but I was dying for an espresso- so I stayed.

Thanks for being such an old and tired cliche, service wise.

Old reviews led me to believe this was a Cafe worth a stop, maybe a local hang- with kind staff, but no luck.

Positive— The young lady behind the counter was kind, and her espresso was excellent. Her male counter part waiting the tables, the polar opposite.

What a great experience we have had here. I am visiting in Paris and discovered this small coffee shop and restaurant right around the corner from my daughters apartment. We gave it a try and we’re so happy that we came back the next day and had coffee again. They also have a small but high-quality selection of cigars. We sat outside on the street to take in the Paris Street ambience, However, there is plenty of seating and food inside too. I would recommend Tabac de la Tour and plan on going back...

Mon Burger est arrivé froid pas vraiment à la cuisson demandé et le fromage pas du tout fondu Pour le fromage on m’a dit que c’était comme ça qu’il le faisait On aurait pu proposer de le passer au toaster Apparemment il y a 5 mois le fromage dégoulinait … de tout façon c’était froid ….
