Vingt Vins d'Art — Restaurant in Paris

We had dinner here tonight. The place is small, customers are "not" that-kind-of-tourists: they don't shout, they seem to know what to expect from a spot like this, they are aesthetically pleasant. The wine list is relative short, but fair. Very fair: some bottles are priced as "internet". We got a 2014, very good, rosee de seignee champagne at a reasonable 60something€. Food is kind of a tapas, side-stuff for wine. Good, alternative, mix of Euro-middle-far-East-fusion kind of stuff. We got aubergine-quinoa-vegan dish, mackerel with vegetables and a wonderful beef-tataki. The guys are welcoming, nice, even if they wonder if you ask for a seau à glace, as they think that wine temperature is kind of an absolute, objective stuff. I mean: I'm sorry, but I like it cold, very cold....

This place is truly wonderful. The servers are warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes conversations easy without needing to raise your voice. Service was smooth from start to finish, and the food was excellent. The spiciness is well balanced, even those who usually avoid spicy dishes will feel comfortable here. We arrived at 6pm just for an appetizer and a drink. The owner was really rude and told us that all tables were booked but we could seat at table for two people (he was saving the tables for more ppl for the reservations). At 7pm he told us we needed to leave because the reservations were about to arrive (no one was there yet).
