Stumbled upon Zenzan on a friend's recommendation, and it felt like discovering a secret chapter of Tokyo hidden in a tavern-style nook. The warm, intimate atmosphere set the stage for a meal that was both comforting and refreshingly authentic. The bento was a delight—crispy fried chicken nestled beside fluffy rice, delicate bamboo sticks, and petite pieces of sushi that brought balance to every bite. But the standout? A Japanese salad that stole the show: octopus, citrus, and seaweed mingling in a bright, briny symphony. I wrapped up this culinary journey with a scoop of sesame ice cream—nutty, smooth, and subtly sweet. A true little gem that proves traditional flavors still have the power to surprise...

If you are looking for a real Japanese restaurant, this is THE place to go. Ran by a Japanese family, their food is really good! but bear in mind that if you don't reserve a table in advance (even if it is only for 2 people - especially for lunch) it is very unlikely to find a table available.

I strongly recommend trying their Tempura and Takokara, and if you are sushi fan, try their aburi sushi!

Excellent and authentic Japanese meal at a family-style restaurant. There are many Japanese restaurants in Paris offering cheap and cheerful sushi, but this is something much more special.

The sushi is expertly prepared (and the right size!!) and the rice is particularly nice. All the ingredients are high quality and prepared with care.
