When we arrived at the restaurant we had a reservation at 10pm, they made us wait in line just like everyone else. What is the point of making a reservation if you're not seated immediately at the table? Plus the girls that check your reservation had some kind of an attitude, they were not very welcoming. When they called us to go in they made us wait again. When we were seated, it was a disaster. As you can see in the first photo i was sitting next to the bar where everyone was passing, the waiters , the customers. It was such an inconvenient place to sit because everyone was either bumping into my chair or me. Nobody even realized that until i got up and took a picture. That's when the owner of the restaurant saw me and asked the staff to offer us another table.
The music was so loud we couldn't even hear the waiters. They couldn't even hear each other which lead to a lot of misunderstandings. They almost gave us the wrong order until we told them it wasn't ours and when the initial waiter came and told the other one that it wasn't for our table. We could feel that even the waiters weren't happy about the place where they worked. A little but later when the last person decided to order: we ordered a ceasar salad, when the waiter came back we asked if we could change it to something else. Instead of telling us calmly that the order already went through and they wouldn't be able to change it. They became kind of angry.
As you can see at this point we weren't very pleased about the situation. When you arrive very hungry at a restaurant to eat and have a good time. You come prepared and make a reservation, instead they make you wait. It becomes very annoying, so you expect the food to be good and balance the situation. The food was not that good. There are a lot of other restaurants that make food like this, especially in Paris, so there's nothing special about this place.
Just because Kylie Jenner and other celebrities have been here does not mean that it's good because you are not a celebrity and you will not be treated the same way as they are. Which is very sad because all of us are customers and they should not differentiate celebrities from plain people like me, both of us come to the restaurant to eat and have a pleasant evening.
I had the feeling that they couldn't handle the amout of guests that they had. In this case you either hire more staff members or manage the amount of reservation that you make because as a restaurant your main focuse should be on your guests and the impression that you will leave (in my case it was awful, not planning to come back)
Overall: the place is overhyped, music is too loud, not enough staff memebers, food is overrated. The only reason why im giving this place two stars is because they offered us another table to sit and because we asked if they could make pasta with truffles intead...
Read moreI must say I was very highly disappointed at this restaurant. Especially since I booked reservations months before in excitement because every celebrity seem to have gone to this establishment. I am now asking myself why? This was the worst service I had in Paris. To start, we had sat for no exaggeration for 17 minutes with no greet from the waiter. But just a few mi it’s before we were greeted a table of 3 men sat next to us and were greeted right away. As I sat aggravated at the situation, the manager I’m assuming approved the table and handed us menus and asked if we’d like something to drink. As we gave our order he stepped away and told the server something and the waiter came over and asked what we wanted to order. The attitude and the unpleasantness from this waiter was so bad that I questioned to my partner if we should cancel what we ordered and leave but we didn’t and hoped for better. Fast forwarding the situation never got better… we ordered the table side pasta that was made in a cheese wheel. I was so excited because I’ve never had this before and was excited to see it be made. I kid you not the server had the setup besides the table behind my partners back in a corner came to the table to show the hot oil and walked back to the corner and started preparing the pasta while the Table next to him is enjoying the presentation taking videos while I can’t see anything. So I waived down the manager whom helped us earlier and asked if he could come over to us so we can see the pasta be made as we did order a table side pasta. He then tells the waiter and the waiter comes with an Attitude says it’s to hard to make it in our view and says he’s going to put it back and will be back later to make it. I was in such shock he said that. He never came back for another 20 minutes until he brought out our truffle ravioli and then proceeded to start making the pasta when my partner just had got up to use the restroom. So the show was not much of a show may I add because the parm bowl was sitting in that oil when the server said he would be back. The temperature of the food was not even warm. For both items. I could keep going but just take my advice spend your money on other places of France and skip the “celebrity hype” because I’ve eaten better food with better prices for there...
Read moreI really want to give this restaurant 5 stars and I’m willing to try it again to see if I can have a 5 star experience!
The food was delicious. I ordered the penne stella which was prepared in an incredible wheel of cheese right in front of you. The drinks were very nicely prepared and flavorful. Our desserts were beautiful and the portions were quite large, possibly even shareable.
I was unable to experience the full atmosphere or even see the actual restaurant because our group of 6 people were sat in a tiny corner near the windows/door. This means no one could stand up or even move unless everyone moved. We even had a bit of difficulty sitting down as the space was obviously too small to seat 6 people with winter coats and bags comfortable. There were other tiny things like forgetting to bring us bread with our meal and spoons/napkins for my dessert. We had to ask. Tiny details that a 5 star experience would not have missed.
On a more positive note, the restaurant was playing 90s and early 00s hip hop music. Everyone was dressed very well which added to the ambiance and the food was delicious. The staff is very serious about moving tables along to get to the next service (understandable) so make the most of your time when you’re there! Our waiter even brought candles for one of our friends because it was her birthday and no one mentioned it on the reservation. Overall a really lovely night with friends and very...
