Le Fossile’s Onglet à l'Échalote is an absolute classic and deserves its reputation! The beef hanger steak was incredibly tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection with a rich, caramelized shallot topping that added just the right amount of sweetness and depth. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural umami of the meat without overpowering it.

We came back for the second time in two weeks since the first experience had been great. However it appears that due to its success the restaurant is maximizing sales by forcing guests to rush or push them to leave to give the table to coming guests. This was done in a discourteous manner, the waitress simply put the bill on the table and said that we had to leave. On top of that she argued in a rude manner insisting she was right. Not good customer service communication. This unfortunately damaged the whole experience...

forgot to take pics but note to self: this is the one with the heap of meat. in fact it comes as two heaps of meat, a ridiculous quantity separated in time into two manageable servings, so right when you feel like you need a break you get to have one without any food getting cold while you digest, and then at the end of it all your plate is clean and you're shocked by how much you just put away... which is how I would like all of my food served henceforth tyvm. the accompanying side salad and fries...
