The name "The Drunky Stork Social Club" itself had already dazzled us before we even arrived, and the entrance along with our first glimpse of the venue did not fall short of our expectations for an extraordinary dining experience. We were captivated by its inventive and beautifully crafted cocktails that tasted as marvelous as they appeared. The interior design was a visual feast in its own right, featuring a vast courtyard crowned with a glass ceiling and a centrally positioned bar that exuded sophistication. However, while the drinks met our high expectations for creativity, taste and execution, the food offerings sadly did not. The falafel was paired with a disappointingly bland curry sauce that did not complement the dish, and the accompanying salad was just basic greens, crudely plated and drowned in an indistinct dressing. The Spaetzle and Cheese, though comforting, lacked the distinctiveness we anticipated in such an inspiring setting. Additionally, the rice served with the veggie curry was outright soggy and inedible, a short-grain variant that was ill-suited for the dish. Despite these culinary setbacks, the concept and ambiance of The Drunky Stork remained enchanting, earning it a reluctant but hopeful...
Read moreservice was a bit unsynchronised food and drinks wise, but it was Saturday (early) night. otherwise, very polite and always with a smile. arancini were disappointing, except the arrabiata sauce. the rest - carrot velouté , onglet , courge roti were all tasty and well presented, although almost cold (I like my food being served hot). but that seems to be common problem in French restaurants these days. fondant au chocolat/passion and high quality green japanese tea served with a big cup (rarity in France) made a good final touch. wines served by glass - red and rosé - were good quality and reasonably priced. very nice restroom facilities. the music level could have been a tad lower for a dinner, especially in the main hall where it was full, so only added to the general noise, but we were in a smaller room with the chimney, so it was OK. all in all, could recommend this place for lunch, dinner, but also for drinks at the bar, especially Saturday afternoon, before the...
Read moreWe had reserved the table for 20:30. An hour prior we got a call saying that our reservation is at 19:30 and that they never take reservations at 20:30 (even though you can book at whatever time you want on their OFFICIAL WEBSITE, we even got 3 emails confirming it was as 20:30). We changed our plans to make it there at 19:30. The food was below average. The main dishes were the most disappointing part: a Caesar Salad with bland unseasoned chicken and full of ingredients that don’t resemble a Caesar Salad; and Pork ribs which were more than dry but smothered in BBQ sauce. My girlfriend was doing her best to enjoy the salad until she bit into something hard: a piece of plastic (!!!!!). On top of that we also ordered a Vodka Sour that looked and tasted like Tonic water.
Don't be fooled by the score. If you are in the spirit of drinking and having a small snack that's fine. If you are looking to have a nice dinner, with nice drinks,...
