Yesterday we had a great dinner at "Chez Nazarene". I accidently found the tip on a website and was surprised. The concept is amazing. All dishes were great and tasty. You get a clou of traditional homemade food. The price is worth every cent for what you get. Most guests were French, I guess we were the only tourists. ( What is always a good sign) The patron is nice and explains all the food. If you are in Toulouse and look for a good restaurant with authentic food, take the opportunity to stop by. Enjoy a wonderful evening with great food and great people.
What we had: A variety of starters like French salami, fish, colesalad, duck paté, lens salad, aso. A homemade soup , veal goulash and rice. For desert: mousse au chocolat, a crème , milk rice, homemade stewed apple and bottled prunes , like at grandma's. A variety of regional cheese.
Oh, by the way, it's a less than 10 minutes walk from station Palais de Justice , the final station of line T2 which connects Toulouse Airport with the city...
Read moreBest place in Toulouse. It is not the first time I eat here. It's basically my "weekend restaurant".
Absolutely great price/quality with extra quality. Great service and the owner is super friendly and carrying. They will take good care of you. It's a "all you can eat" service -but don't get confused or judgmental about anythings else you've seen before. This is an absolutely quality restaurant. Food is prepared freshly and you can eat all hot dishes -usually three- plus a full served traditionally-from-the-region entries already on the table when you get there. When you finish there is also a desert table with five or six different french deserts.
Tables are shared and most of the people are friendly and may even try to small chat -at least they will wish you a "bonne app". A lot of French locals in the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant feels like a traditional place from hundreds years. Very nice atmosphere and...
Read moreMy friend has talked about it for almost 3 years and finally I had chance to try. It didn't disappoint me 😊. I like the idea when people, knowing each other or not, share the same big table as well as the dishes. You can make new friends there! The entrée was amazing and you definitely need to keep space in your stomach if you want to try everything. Entrée is placed on the table and is transferred between everyone. Self-serve is what I like here, you take whatever & whenever that you want and what quantity that you'd like. You would swallow yout tongue with the main course 😉 but don't fall for that "trap" because you might regret to not be able to taste the desserts. Several sweets are prepared with different styles as you can see in my photo. Was lovely. For all of that? I was shocked to see the proce for all of that. 18e - so cheap for that quality and a "no limit" meal.
I would love to go there again and again, it won...
