Conclusion: Food is amazing, the service lady was „op Zack“ but PLEASE have more people in the service to offer a good experience! Long version: For a family visit we researched the best restaurants and found this new opening. The food was really delicious, we chose Christmas dishes like Sauerbraten, Entenkeule and a Schnitzel. Everything was on point. The service lady was very friendly but totally overwhelmed as she was responsible for 7 tables with 26 people. So drinks were never delivered and the service was not fast. Until we had enough and got up to the bar to pay as we did not want to wait any longer. The vibe is okay downstairs, upstairs is not really great. You definitely have a nice view, but it feels like sitting in a living room with too many people.

It was clear this was a favourite amongst people in Aachen - high turnover of tables. There is a good reason for it too - the waiters were attentive and nice, and the food was great. I'd even say the portions were quite big. A couple of us wanted to order the flank steak but they didn't have any. Instead, they had entrecote. What impressed me is that the waiter flat-out refused to serve an entrecote if it were to be well done as someone in the group requested. He explained his reasoning and had alternatives to help with the choice. I did end up going for the entrecote, and was left satisfied. My only negative point is due to the busy location. It can get quite loud, and there are constantly people passing by you.

Markt 43 is a fun chic restaurant with a menu that’s quite sophisticated. The vibe of the restaurant is super cozy and inviting. We had the Beetroot Carpaccio, Wiener Schnitzel and Tagliarini with Burrata. The presentation of the dishes was simply stunning and they all tasted quite good especially the two main course dishes. We also had the dark and stormy, and pornstar martini and both were delicious. The service was impeccable and the staff were really warm and friendly. Can’t wait to come back here and try out other dishes!

Definitely stay away. We made a reservation for 4 people for a friend's birthday and paid around 80 euros. The attitude of the short-haired middle-aged staff woman who served us was generally hostile and after paying the bill, when one of our friends asked her why she was aggressive, her attitude towards us became even worse and she started complaining that 2 of our friends did not eat and only drank cocktails, she personally abused one of our friends who had come to this place before and who was also served by her. When she asked her why, the woman grabbed her shoulder and pushed her. (We have videos as proof.) She also threatened to kick us out of the place and call the police. The fact that we were subjected to such a bad treatment even though we only asked her why he was being aggressive ruined our night and we are extremely complaining about her and we wish the necessary action to be taken. Don't come, don't be disgraced...
