Cosmos Heart Café — Restaurant in Augsburg

A must-visit for vegetarians and vegans! Fantastic food, excellent service, great value and a beautiful atmosphere.

The Cosmos-Heart menu is extensive, including a range of great bagels and other sandwiches, as well as salads and a cooked daily special. There is a choice of delicious cakes baked on the premises daily, made with spelt flour, and always with at least one vegan option. There are also always gluten-free options. The drinks menu includes a list of great coffee, as well as a range of teas, smoothies, milkshakes and other cold drinks. All are very reasonably priced.

Cosmos-Heart is located in the city centre, but down a quiet alleyway. There are three seating areas to choose from: the main café with waitress service, the lounge area with comfortable sofas – which uses a clever pager system when orders are ready to collect – and a courtyard terrace. All are spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and with a serene atmosphere.

The service is superb – friendly, helpful, timely, plus all the staff speak excellent English.

An absolute must-visit...

Besuche das Cafe seit knapp zwei Jahren. Mein Lieblingsort in der Mittagspause. Komme, sooft es meine Zeit und mein Geldbeutel erlaubt, her. Die Damen haben das Herz am rechten Fleck, sind zuvorkommend hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Preise sind fair, jeden Tag ein wechselndes frisch gekochtes Gericht max. 4,90€. Tolle Bagel, Panini, Sandwiches, Salate klein und groß...ganz nach Appetit und vor allem: Alles frisch zubereitet und das auch noch mit Liebe !

Man geht zur Theke und bestellt sein Essen/Getränk, bezahlt und holt es ab, wenn es fertig ist. Meist bringen die Damen es sogar zum Tisch. Für den Hof und die Stube gibt es "Pager".

Die Räumlichkeiten sind klein aber fein. Es gibt drei Abschnitte. Das eigentliche Café...von dort aus geht es in den kleinen Innenhof (im Sommer sehr zu empfehlen)... von dort erreicht man die Stube. Diese vermittelt einem das Gefühl in einem Wohnzimmer also in der "Guten Stube" zu sitzen. Gemütliche Sessel und Sofas Laden zum Verweilen ein.

An dieser Stelle möchte ich noch die tollen Kaffeespezialitäten erwähnen. Wahlweise auch mit laktosefreier, Hafer- oder Sojamilch. Ebenfalls heiße Schokolade in verschiedenen Varianten und viele Teesorten incl. Yogitees. Dazu gibt es selbstgebackenen Kuchen in Bioqualität. Auch Cookies und Brownies für den kleinen Hunger sind zu empfehlen.

Kaltgetränke gibt es natürlich auch. Neben Wasser, Apfelschorle und Co. gibt es Bionade, einen frisch zubereiteten Mangolassi und Milchshakes.

Habe im Laufe der Zeit so ziemlich alles ausprobiert und bin rundherum zufrieden und glücklich.

Fantastic espresso. This place is a real find in the coffee world. I wasn't expecting much after coming from Italy but compared to all the other coffee bars I've tried in Germany, Cosmos Heart is awsome.
