Ilegal Practises:

We were a group of 5 friends (all immigrants) who went to the restaurant to enjoy our friend’s last night in Berlin. When paying at the end, we were told - very rudely by the older waiter lady, with short hair - that only one credit card was accepted for payment for the entire table, which came at almost €200. When questioned why, the lady literally shouted at us in front of the entire restaurant which completely escalated the situation to a whole different one. We believe the establishment wanted to avoid paying credit card fees by not allowing us to split the bill, which is a normal practise in any other restaurant which accepts credit cards transactions - specially in large groups. Also, no signs were displayed to inform such practises were in place. When confronted about such practises, the entire staff team, with the exception of a young lady waiter, which politely tried to descalaste the situation very professionally, were rude and extremely aggressive, displaying signs of violence by hitting the bar counter with the hands and kicking us out of the restaurant (dark eyes male waiter with short hair and dark skin tone). The situation escalated to the point of almost calling the police. The only reason as to why we didn’t was to avoid spoiling our friends last night in Berlin, otherwise I would most certainly have gone ahead with it all the way. Traumatising. Humiliating and shocking experience. We believe we were told we were now “forbidden to return” when exiting the establishment, but we would be crazy to if not.
