My partner and I took the Secrets of Berlin bike tour with Ceri and it was the highlight of our week. From the first hello to the last goodbye, Ceri made us feel welcome, set a comfortable pace, and gave us the freedom to explore each stop. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to spend time with.
By luck we were the only two guests on this tour, joined by three guides in training. It felt like a private tour with four thoughtful storytellers. Each trainee added a detail or perspective, which made the stops feel well rounded and alive.
The route focused on lesser-known corners of the city rather than the greatest hits. We rode for a bit, then stopped for short briefings or longer chances to walk around and look closely. Favorites included Dead Chicken Alley with its ever-changing local street art and a casual market break to grab a beer and chat with the group. Ceri balanced history, culture, and everyday Berlin in a way that felt genuine rather than scripted.
Bikes were in great condition, directions were clear, and Ceri kept everyone safe and relaxed in traffic. If you want an off-the-beaten-path look at Berlin with an excellent guide, book this tour. Huge thanks to Ceri and the Unlimited Biking/Fat Tire Tours team for an...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of joining a guided bike tour through Berlin Mitte with Fat Tire Tours, and by sheer luck, our guide was Marco – and wow, what an experience!
We were a group of 14 men, and let’s be honest, keeping that many guys engaged for 3 hours isn’t an easy task. But Marco pulled it off effortlessly. His deep knowledge of Berlin’s history – from Prussian grandeur to Cold War intrigue – was matched by his witty, engaging storytelling style that kept us hooked from start to finish.
He struck the perfect balance between historical depth and humor, making even the most complex chapters of Berlin’s past feel accessible and fascinating. His pacing was spot-on, the route was well thought-out, and he tailored the experience brilliantly to our group.
I’ve done guided tours in cities all over the world, but Marco is without a doubt one of the best guides I’ve ever had. His passion, charisma, and knowledge turned what could have been just another sightseeing trip into a truly memorable experience.
If you’re planning a tour in Berlin and have the chance to ride with Marco – take it. You won’t regret it. Highly, highly...
Read moreHighly highly recommend doing this bike tour when you first arrive in Berlin! We were overwhelmed with how much there is to do, but the bike tour gave us a good overview of alot of the history and culture and from there we could go back and visit more specific things we wanted. Sam was a great guide and has amazing knowledge. He even carried around chalk to draw diagrams about Berlin during and after the war, and had a folder with other pictures of Berlin to show us. The bikes are very comfortable, we didn't have sore bums at all by the end. There were no mechanical issues at all! Some of the highlights included Alexander platz, museum island, Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish memorial, reichstag, Hitler's bunk, the wall, the Brandenburg gate etc! The price is really reasonable for what you get, I'd personally recommend the half day tour as if it alot cheaper than the full day but still goes over all the must dos in Berlin with plenty of time for questions. They offer student...
