Andy's Diner & Bar — Restaurant in Berlin

We went twice in 2 days and had 2 very different experiences.

The first night we stopped in for dinner and drinks and the food was great and the service was fast and very friendly!

We enjoyed our 1st experience so much that we stopped in the next day for a lunch-time snack and drinks and had a completely different and very unpleasant experience.

The woman behind the bar seemed very "inconvenienced" that we were ordering drinks, and although she didn't appear to be serving other customers it took a good few minutes of her walking around doing other things before we were served. After that we sat ourselves and waited another 15+ minutes without further service. We assumed that the lack of attention was due to the fact that we sat ourselves when we shouldnt have so I went up to the bar to order our food.

Again, the lady behind the bar seemed highly inconvenienced and told me that I needed to wait on a server to attend to me. Basically the entire rest of the evening I had to go out of my way to get anyone's attention for service and it left me feeling very uncomfortable and like I was a burden to the staff. (there was hardly anyone in the restaurant)

At the end, (and before we had actually intended to leave) the bartender walked up to our table, and without a word or any eye contact left the bill and walked away. We would have happily enjoyed a few more drinks and spent more money there but the whole experience was just so inconsiderate that we paid and immediately left.

It was so confusing to have such horrid service when just the night before the staff had been friendly...

I just ate here yesterday in the centre of Berlin. First of all on a Saturday evening at 20:00 it was almost empty. That should have been a sign but I reserved table in advance, no need for that obviously. I never in my life left a burger and fries on my plate. I did not even it half of this crap. The burger was like a microwaved burger!! I think it was ready, got cold and they just microwaved it before serving, definitely a frozen burger meat. We also had to wait pretty long for the food, although the place was empty... Dry bread, dry meat, didnt taste like beef. Horrible horrible horrible!! Fries soggy, lots of them too brown...Worst burger I have ever (tried to) eaten. This place shouldnt be on any top list at all. Very bad quality and I do like 1 euro McDonalds burgers, so my expectations are not really high here. I ate plenty of amazing burgers and I know this was not quality, not worth a cent. One waitress was actually really nice, the rest was very bored and not too friendly. By our complain one of the waitress forgot her english (or didnt speak anyway), she was embarassed. We saw both of the cooks coming out of the kitchen going to the toilet, both looked very unprofessional, again bored, no life in this place. Staff walks around like zombies, probably they know how bad the service is. No passion...

Bad food, bad service. We ordered 5 different platters and none were good. Not even one. It took forever to get service, we had to flag down the (very nice) waiter each time we needed him. It seems he was the only one there, along with one other woman who we only saw delivering food, waiting on like 20 tables. The kids' burger looked nasty, the margarita pizza was the best item, but nothing to write home about. The nachos were chips with weird cheese melted on it (and the chips were stale). The caesar salad's dressing was white, but that's where it stopped being anything like caesar dressing. And when I requested a glass of water, I was told it would cost 1 Euro. For tap water. It isn't like we hadn't ordered food or anything. This is the first time I have been disappointed in Berlin and it's my second time here. I absolutely would not come back and bother giving it another chance. We only went because it was right by the AquaDome, which we had just...
