Lustgarten is a historic public park located in the heart of Berlin, Germany. Originally established in the 16th century, Lustgarten has served as a public gathering place, a site for political rallies and demonstrations, and a place for cultural and artistic events throughout its history. The name "Lustgarten" translates to "pleasure garden" in English, and the park was originally designed as a royal pleasure garden for the Elector of Brandenburg in the 16th century. Over the centuries, the park has been expanded and transformed, serving a variety of different functions. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, Lustgarten was an important site for political rallies and demonstrations. It was here that the Social Democratic Party of Germany held its first public demonstration in 1875, and it was also the site of a mass rally in 1914, at the outbreak of World War I. In the years following World War II, Lustgarten was largely destroyed during the Battle of Berlin, and it remained in a state of disrepair for many years. However, in the years following German reunification, the park was restored to its former glory and once again became a popular gathering place for locals and tourists alike. Today, Lustgarten is a beautiful and serene public park, located just steps away from some of Berlin's most famous landmarks, including the Berlin Cathedral and the Museum Island complex. Visitors can stroll along the park's paths, take in the views of the surrounding architecture, and relax on the park's expansive lawns. In addition to its natural beauty, Lustgarten is also home to a number of important cultural and historical landmarks. One of the most notable is the Berlin Palace, which is currently being rebuilt after being destroyed during World War II. The palace was the former home of the Prussian monarchs and served as an important political and cultural center for centuries. Other notable landmarks in Lustgarten include the Old National Gallery, which houses an extensive collection of 19th-century art, and the Humboldt Forum, which is home to a range of cultural exhibitions and events. Whether you're looking to take in some history, relax in a beautiful natural setting, or simply enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of one of Berlin's most iconic public spaces, Lustgarten is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to this vibrant city.

Lustgarten is the area in from of the Berliner dorm. A GREAT place to hangout and chill or just take a nice walk. Right in the front is the Berliner dorm at its beauty( renovation work going so beauty with some retouching required 😅). Right Next is museum Island and Alexanderplatz s bahn station. NOTE: If you are a new traveller and at this place (and some other common touristic place in Berlin) people (SCAMMERS) would approach you asking if you speak English or German and the moment you say yes , they will shove a paper in your face asking you to sign and would pressure you into giving money. THE BEST APPROACH is to just IGNORE these people and move on.

This place in the middle of big city Berlin is one of the oldest and beautifulest of the city. It's been surrounded by very important buildings like the big (evangelic) cathetral, the big Museum of fine arts called Altes Museum and on the south side with the replicate building of the old Kings castle, now it's called Humboldtforum ... with is a mix of very oldstyle facade with the very modern inside building. In the future there will be another museum just with artefacts of older cultures like the Mayas and the Polynesians ... just a lot of interesting stones, ceramics and other pottery stuff, the german natural societies collected by robbery the colonies and so called native cultures, like the British and French Empire did it too, indeed! By the way the Lustgarden is a very beautiful place in the middle of all the tourist hotspots and the younger crowds love it to rest on the greens and enjoy the air and the sun and the big city feelings while listening music or just watch the other people while kissing and pegging each other ... of course it's free...
