I recently had the pleasure of dining at Block House restaurant in Berlin, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The service was not only fast but also incredibly kind and attentive. The staff seemed genuinely passionate about ensuring every guest had a memorable time. It's not often that you find such a perfect balance between speed and friendliness in a restaurant, but Block House nailed it. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, the food! Each dish was a masterpiece. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the flavors were simply delectable. It's clear that the chefs at Block House take immense pride in their craft, and it truly shows in the quality of the dishes they serve. What surprised me even more was the pricing. Given the exceptional quality of both service and food, I expected the prices to be on the higher side. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Block House offers great value for the superb experience they provide. In a city filled with dining options, Block House truly stands out as a gem. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I wholeheartedly recommend treating yourself to a meal here. It's a place where you can indulge in top-notch food, experience impeccable service, and do so without breaking the bank. Hats off to the team at Block House for creating a dining haven that ticks all the boxes. I can't wait to return and savor those mouthwatering dishes once again!

Sadly, I had the most uncomfortable experience at BLOCK HOUSE. The steak tartare was okay. I prefer it chopped with a knife and not minced, and the onion and radish not chopped finely enough so it did not mix well. The lamb was very good. Very tasty and cooked well. For desert, I got the lava cake. Unfortunately I found a piece of plastic in the sauce. Service was the biggest issue. When it came time to settle the bill, our server's (Cashier 23) demeanour took a turn for the worse. Our bill came to around €160, we left an optional tip of around 5% as a good gesture as the service unfortunately did not justify any higher. She responded rudely with "No tip for me!" and slammed the card reader on the table. We tried to explain that the coins were left as a tip but she snatched up the coins then went completely silent so paying the bill was extremely awkward. She walked away without saying anything once we had paid and was visibly angry. This unprofessional behaviour ruined our impression of BLOCK HOUSE and is probably the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had in a restaurant.

Ok steak, very poor service. I tried to make a reservation twice, but they refused it both times and told me to just show up. I came with a friend and waited 15-20 minutes. When we were seated (at 17:00), we were pressured to order immediately, without even having a chance to look through the menu, since we “only had an hour left” - I am literally quoting the waiter… I get that they have a lot of guests given the location, but you can’t stress your customers this way, it’s really inappropriate and rude. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of one is that the meat quality was decent. However, as someone who can cook a great steak at home, I go out to a restaurant not just to eat, but to relax, and definitely not to be pushed and stressed, especially given such high prices. Definitely do not recommend this joint and will not return.

The place is definitely upscale and the service is professional, unfortunately we arrived while the restaurant was full (which indicates the demand) so the service was a bit slow. We ordered a fillet, unfortunately the meat was a bit sticky and could only be eaten in small pieces which is not expected from it. Unfortunately there are no smoked or aged meat cuts. There is no English menu so you need to use Google Translate. Update for the owner's response: Thanks for the reference. As for the meal replacement - I had no doubt that if we had asked you would have replaced us with a new meal. Just unfortunately we were limited in time. Regarding the English menu - the waiter himself said that there is no English menu and that we will use Google Translate.

I remember this place quite perfectly. It was late at night and nothing else was open. We were hesitant to eat here because the prices were so high but it seemed to be the only place open, and a number of people appeared to be enjoying their food. We opted for a steak meal since it was supposed to be "the best". What did we get back, you ask? A HAMBURGER PATTY. LOL. The salad was mushy and watery... something my little brother would've slapped together. The rest of the food tasted thawed from frozen and it was probably the best worst food I've had. We didn't make a scene but instead laughed about it and pushed the food around on our plate until it looked like we made an effort to eat. Unfortunately, any amount of money was too much.

Ist zwar eher etwas für Touristen, aber das Essen war sehr gut. Gerade das Knofi Salatdressing ist eine Schau! Beim Fleisch sollte man darauf achten - möchte man es etwas „blutiger“ als Medium (Medium-rare), sollte man das auch genauso bestellen - und nicht „Medium“! :) Das wurde mir von der übrigens sehr netten Bedienung so empfohlen. Als jemand der Steakes auch gerne eher blutig mag, sollte sich an dieser Stelle nicht wie ich dazu verleiten lassen, auch wenn man der Meinung ist, dass der Koch (auch wenn Medium bestellt) etwas blutiger von Haus aus wäre. Stimmte so nicht… etwas schade, denn für den Preis, der hier natürlich etwas höher angesetzt ist, man ein eigentlich super zartes Steak erwartet… und das geht nun mal nur in Richtung Medium-rare bis rare! Das Fleisch war angemessen und dezent gewürzt und nicht zu salzig oder zu extrem. Auch der Gas und Grill Flavor war vorhanden. Die Kräuterbutter passte hier gut dazu und stimmte das Steak gut ab. Ohne diese hätte man vielleicht noch ein Tick mehr Salz anwenden müssen. Die Ofenkartoffel war so wie sie ist auch sehr lecker. Ein guter Quarkdip dazu, eine saubere Kartoffel die man ohne weiteres - mit Haut (wie es sich gehört) essen kann. Nichts desto trotz war die Stimmung angenehm und teils ausgelassen. Also eine nette Location um ein eigentlich gutes Steak zu genießen. Oder eben auch leckere Salate, gutes Dressing und auch leckere Desserts. Das Dessert, in diesem Fall ein New York Cheese Cake war sehr lecker. Hätte am Ende gar nicht mehr sein müssen, da man ohnehin genug satt geworden ist. Aber den musste ich einfach probieren und er war auch schon wie vermutet - sehr schmackhaft. Die Bedienung an sich war wie beschrieben nett, sind auch fröhlich und auch zum spaßen aufgelegt. Sind recht aufmerksam und auch die Wartezeit im generellen Sinne war gut. Preise etwas gehoben aber nicht so übermäßig für ein Steakhouse. Die Toiletten waren in Ordnung. Besser geht immer, aber mir persönlich hatte das so gereicht. Man verlässt den Laden eher happy als sad :)
