If it wasn't for the food and the price, I would never go here to eat. The waitresses are so rude. One time, I was eating with my friend and had some leftovers. It was so crowded and they were understaffed, so I decided to go to the bar and asked for take away packaging. I moved my food to the take away packaging on an empty table and he yelled and cursed at me right away for doing it on the empty table. In under no circumstances are customers allowed to be yelled and cursed at. Just a few days ago I decided to go there with my friends to eat. We didn't want to eat the BBQ so we ordered one dish for each of us. Our orders were taken by a guy who speaks German nor English. Two of our friends wanted their food for takeaway directly because they had to go first. Then three dishes were out and we thought maybe the waitress misunderstood us. So, we decided to call one waitress, who apparently can speak German. One of my friend, who came late, wanted to order one more dish for him and two of my friends want to order two more extra rices. So, we called this guy waitress and told him that we'd like to order one chicken tomato and three more rices and right away he said "no. three rices are not allowed!" then he repeated the chicken tomato order and rushed away. What he understood was we wanted three rices for one chicken tomato while the truth is no and without explaining it politely to us he just went. When he came back to us bringing the chicken, we then TRIED to EXPLAIN to him that we weren't finished talking to him and that the rices are for each person with each meal and that two dishes that were ordered as takeaway HAVEN'T COME OUT because we thought his colleague misunderstood us. Instead handling all of it politely, he was mad at us and without giving us the chance to explain to him everything slowly so that he understood us, he just cut us off and he was so angry at us. Hey, it was supposed to be us who are mad for this attitude! IT'S NOT LIKE WE WEREN'T PAYING ANY CENTS...
Read moreArirang was a favorite resto when we used to live in Berlin from 2013-2016. We wanted to come back for the cheap but delicious Korean BBQ and it didn't disappoint!
Cook the Beef Bulgogi BBQ & Pork Belly BBQ UNTIL CRISPY then place it on the lettuce + a little bit of all the side dishes, roll then dip into the fantastic Korean dip before gobbling up. We never have a picture of the crispy Korean BBQ because the moment it's ready we cannot wait to dine in.
The best part is that rice & the side dishes are all refillable for free!
While waiting for BBQ to crisp up on your table, enjoy the Kimchi Pancake with soy sauce.
Another must have is the Ketchup Chicken which is perfect with the rice. I would only recommend ordering the bibimpap if you don't have a group big enough to order the Beef Bulgogi BBQ. Otherwise it's redundant.
Big bottles of drinks are available which is a bonus when going as a group which is what I recommend so you can try different dishes that come in the big servings. There were 7 of us and we were totally stuffed with what we ordered.
If you are more than 6 please call for reservations since bigger tables are limited.
This place is a hole in the wall so please do not expect fantastic ambiance. In fact I'm taking a star off because there has been no improvement in the interiors, cleanliness could be improved, no dessert available & we have to be assertive to get the attention of the wait staff.
However I would go back again & gain for the taste &...
Read moreHave been coming for several years. The service and also food quality has worsend - especially rude behavior like being ignored or treated only after other (korean) customers has increased, I can't stand it anymore. Also they have decreased the portion size and seem to be constantly understaffed.
On a Monday evening (not busy normally) my friends and I tried to sit outside (3 persons) and about 10 tables (70% of the outside area) was reserved for 2 groups of 15 each which were expected only one hour later. We asked the waiter if we could just sit at one of the tables for the hour and eat, we would have moved away as soon as any of the guests would have showed up. He denied our request and said it was "policy" to keep the tables free at least one hour before reservation. We had to sit inside instead on that lovely summer's eve and several others were refused as well. After 70 minutes we had finished our food (which was alright, but not as good as in the past) and the people hadn't turned up. After 90 minutes we left, only one group had turned up then. Sometimes I feel as I am being discriminated against as a German. And as a side note: They don't know how to serve their beer, always bringing the wrong glasses (0,3 for a Weizen or a pils glas) and they also don't know how to clean them properly...
Won't come back again, there are enough better...
