Latino Ristorante - Pizzeria — Restaurant in Berlin

I was in Berlin last week, and first in the evening we looked at a restaurant near the hotel, as usual, we opened google and trusted the reviews. So we decided on the Latino restaurant because of the 4.7 rating and it looked pleasant in the pictures. At first, I was slightly disappointed with the menu itself, because it seemed as if the restaurant offered a lot more, in the end we decided to eat pizza, but i also ordered tomato soup before pizza. Tomato soup comes to the table, I have never eaten anything worse in my life. The soup was literally pureed tomatoes from a tetrapack heated in a pot. Then the highlight is the pizzas on the table, I don't know if the pizza was worse in appearance or in taste, I've eaten pizzas all over Europe, I can literally call this - garbage, worst in my life I've ever tried, such a tasteless dish, poorly made I've never tried it in my life , I actually admire the chef how he managed to make something so bad, how is it possible, so if you buy the worst ingredients in the store and put them in a pan, there is no way you will get such a bad pizza. The waiter never once came to ask if everything was okay, probably because he was aware and embarrassed. And since I was in a bad mood, it's better that it wasn't. Besides the pizzas, I saw a couple of other dishes on other tables, they looked desperate. An Italian restaurant? No this is the worst restaurant ever. I've been around Italy from North to South, the worst food I've eaten deserves all possible awards compared to this. Disaster. The only thing that remains in the end is that I wonder how such a good rating was given, by the bots? And then I realize, that the restaurant is so bad, that instead of a negative review, people give a positive one because they just don't want to be the only one who screwed up. I'm not like that, listen to the advice and what to do from this. Rather, choose a Turkish restaurant where you will at least know what...

Unser Lieblings-Italiener, bei dem wir mindestens 1x pro Woche sind.

Auch sehr gute Tagesgerichte mit täglich 2 Gerichten für idR. knapp 10 € inkl. Salat. Die Tagesgerichte sind sehr vielfältig und orientieren sich teilweise auch an der Saison (Spargel etc.). Selbst nach Jahren als Stammkunde gibt es immer mal wieder etwas, was man noch nicht auf der Karte gesehen hatte. Highlights wie die Grillplatte kommen aber zum Glück alle paar Wochen mal. :-)

Gängige Gerichte kosten in der Regel um die 10 €, was ich in Anbetracht der hohen Qualität zwar nicht als billig aber als ausgesprochen preiswert bezeichnen würde. Für die gebotene Qualität mehr als fair.

Die Einrichtung finde ich persönlich ansprechend, d.h. sehr gepflegt aber nicht zu fein. Auch wenn gerade zur Mittagszeit viele im Business-Outfit zum Mittagessen vorbeischauen, so kann man sich doch auch getrost mit gepflegter Freizeitkleidung sehen lassen ohne negativ aufzufallen.

Besonders mag ich die offene Küche - da bekommt man gleich noch mehr Appetit, wenn man sieht wie dort gekocht wird.

Der Service ist ausgesprochen herzlich - insbesondere wenn man von einem unserer beiden Lieblingskellner bedient wird. Leider gibt es einen einzigen Kellner, der das sehr gute Gesamtbild im Service etwas trübt. Dieser ist etwas wortkarg, wirkt immer etwas lustlos und ist scheinbar eher nicht für einen Job mit Kundenkontakt geboren.

Ursprünglich hatte ich im Service deswegen einen Stern abgezogen, aber nachdem wir die Tage wieder von einem unserer Lieblingskellner bedient wurden, muss ich das revidieren. Es wäre ungerecht wegen einem Kellner die herzliche Art der anderen Kellner nicht ausreichend zu würdigen, so dass es auch im Service volle Punktzahl gibt.

Das sind aber dann auch die einzigen Kritikpunkte, die ich bei diesem Super-Italiener finden kann und die freundlich herzliche Art der Mitarbeiter ist mir unterm Strich auch alle Mal wichtiger als solche Kleinigkeiten.

Zusammenfassung: Ich habe hier noch nie etwas gegessen, was mir nicht geschmeckt hätte. Meistens sogar extrem gut. Der beste Italiener,...
