The Café LebensArt right on the famous Berliner street ‘Unter den Linden’ is a great coffee house very close to the Brandenburg Gate in the center of Berlin. The LebensArt is an artsy café for those in Berlin who want to have a nice, bright and artsy atmosphere in the center of the city, albeit there are several shops of the Café LebensArt across Berlin. The staff here is friendly and the food is delicious and quite reasonable for the location on the center. The breakfast I had starts a little over 5 euros and you get quite much for it. So my delicious breakfast consisted of two rolls, two pieces of butter, marmalade, honey, and a hard-boiled egg. Together with my cappuccino it made a perfect combination. The light coming through the windows as well as watching the people passing by on the promenade Unter den Linden and the art on the wall plus the free WiFi, this all makes this café a perfect place to spend an hour or two. And they even have a special fireplace, which provides a certain atmosphere. It is such a nice café in the center of the city. From Berlin with Love! Dr. Dr. Immanuel Fruhmann

After a nice sightseeing we stopped at Cafe Lebensart for breakfast (lovely to have the chance to have very late breakfast at almost 1:00 pm!). This is a great option, when you really want to try something else than those typical US coffee chains around. Stephanie was very attentive and friendly and kept an eye on everything even with a full restaurant and many bigger groups. Everything was served perfectly and fast. Big plus: the warm boiled egg (I hate how many restaurants serve cold boiled eggs with the breakfast plate!) The breakfast plates were big and there was plenty of bread as well. (We had 2 different plates and ate 3). There was a nice pastry offer, but unfortunately we were pretty full to try! P.S. we were so hungry, that this time I forgot to take pics before we ate! 🫣🤭

We went in for hot drinks during a quiet period for the cafe today. The drinks were not great, five hot drinks and three of them came as lukewarm hot water with a bag to make your own. Including the Chai Masala which every else I have had it is a milky drink, not a hot water plus bag. It tasted of nothing. I needed the toilet before we left, which is up 2 flights of stairs. I have a painful arthritic knee and I am walking with a stick, so I asked if there was a a downstairs toilet. The lovely waitress showed me to the staff loo, which was tucked away at the end of the restaurant. It was effectively a disabled style loo, but without the assistance bars - there are 2 steps up to the restaurant entrance so it obviously is not disabled friendly. On exiting the loo I was stopped by two other staff members, one of whom shouted at me from a 10 yard distance in the centre of the restaurant In front of about 20 other customers that the toilet wasn't for guests and that it clearly said staff only. I attempted to explain to her that her colleague had allowed me to use it, but she continued to shout so I walked back to our table. At which point the angry waitress started shouting at her colleague who had allowed me to use the loo. Loud and angry and in front of the customers. And believe me, I had left the toilet cleaner than it was when I went in.

Terrible service except for the kind waitress, awful experience overall , and I feel sorry for the lovely lady who looked after us but got torn off a strip in full view of everyone just for helping an old woman in need of a pee but struggles...

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The decor and food inside are actually nice. But the waitress, which I believe her name to be Frau, was extremely rude. She ignored us when we walked in and no smile. It took her a while to get to our table and still no smile. The whole time we were there, it felt as if we owe her just to sit in her restaurant. When I asked her what kind of tea she has, she replied in a very agitated tone "it's on menu, you can't see?" While I was looking through the menu, she stood there and kept asking "so what tea you want?". Geez, I was only taking one minute to look at the name of tea. It was very apparent that she didn't want to spend even one minute serving us.

After I ordered my tea (Chai tea), which is over 4 Euros, I saw another tea called Organic Marigold. So I walked up to her and asked her if I can change my tea as it has been less than 30 seconds after I ordered. She again, in a very agitated tone, said "no, you cannot change." I asked her why and she said the tea has already been made. Frustrated, I went back to my seat. It took her 5 minutes to bring what she called already made tea. Turns out its just a tea bag in a cup. For 4 Euros I was expecting something better and I could not believe that she lied that the tea is already made when all you do is just have hot water and put a tea bag next to the saucer dish. This waitress FRAU is possibly one of worst waitress I have ever encountered. I still don't know why she is so rude...perhaps she didn't like American tourists?

WARNING don't go if you want to be treated like a decent...

Worst service ever experience - I travel alot. and never bother do do a review. but this was extremly bad.. ! first of all we went it and tried to get contact with a waiter.. for around 12 minutes.. and then i just stood in front of one and said.. should i just sit or do you seat people? she pointed down the hall and said "sit" so we sat down. after figuring out what we wanted.. we again tried to get in touch with a waiter.. ! politly Hello :) or.. Nodding or lifting your hand showing hand gestures.. and a waiter had eye contact with me atleast 3 times during this. i felt ignored so i stood up and as she was cleaning a table 2 meters away from me i told her "we are ready to order" .. 30 minutes went by before any waiter came by. so i pointed at their Schnitzel and asked how long time it would take - atleast 25 minutes so i asked if there was anything that went by faster? and she said.. the fastest we can do is 25 minutes.. and after already spending +30 minutes of waiting.. we did not have time to wait another 25 minute for food now. so we told the waiter, okay we had to calculate if we could make it in time give us a few minutes.. and 1 minute later another brown haired lady came to us to take our order :) and we told her "just a minute" and she started to cause a scene and told us with big hand/arm gestures we had been sitting here for 30 minutes without ordering anything!!! very bad attitude and angry - unknowing that her collegues was impossible to get in touch with..? we were extremly hungry and just wanted something asap! but left right after that rude long...
