Kirk Bar — Restaurant in Berlin

I've been many times to this bar and enjoyed great service and good drinks. Unfortunately the last time I was there the service and attitude of the server was terrible. My friend ordered a gin martini and I ordered a vodka martini. We were asked how we would like the cocktails. This is always a good sign for a martini. We both asked for olives and very dry. When the cocktails arrived both were yellow. Indicating sweetness. As predicted both had been made with sweet martini rather than extra dry martini. When the server asked if the cocktails were okay, I mentioned that there was a mistake and that the wrong martini had been used. He started arguing with me and adamantly refused to acknowledge the fact. in the end I relented and accepted his blatant disregard for a customers complaint. Wont...

Was strolling around the area with a friend when she felt like a drink, so we went in. A waiter came up to us and asked for our order. She ordered something, I answered I didn't want anything. "Dann müssen Sie gehen" (then you must leave) was the answer I got, not to mention the face that went with it, not even trying to somehow convey he was realizing how rude it was or that it was the boss' policy and he wasn't the one calling the shots or SOMETHING. Extremely rude staff. They would not let two of us in to meet our friends because the house was "full", which meant that their was one chair missing so one of us would have to stand. And we were completely sober, so not problematic or anything. When finally we got in as it cleared, it took them 20 minutes to give us simple drinks, although they had 3 waiters on half empty bar, 2 of them were smoking while one was serving. Extremely pretentious, unwelcoming and uncool bar. I would never enter it again. And everyone has to be seated policy is extremely stupid for a bar in Frierdichshein...
