Nestled in the heart of Berlin, Einstein unter den Linden offers a delightful dining experience steeped in tradition and elegance. The restaurant's ambiance is special, with its classic decor and warm lighting creating a welcoming atmosphere. My visit for breakfast was a treat for the senses, as I indulged in the Sylter Frühstück, a delectable assortment of shrimps, gravlax with horseradish, smoked halibut, radish, lemon, and a basket of freshly baked bread accompanied by creamy butter. The quality and generous portion left me impressed and eager to return for more. The in-house baked bread was a standout, and the coffee proved to be a satisfying complement to the meal. Despite the overall positive experience, the service left something to be desired, as our waitress came across as pushy, particularly when it came to tipping. Despite this minor setback, Einstein unter den Linden remains a must-visit establishment for those seeking a taste of traditional cuisine in an unforgettable setting. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu offerings.

Nice and comfy cafe/restaurant. We were there during Christmas holidays when almost all the places are closed and we were lucky to find this place. I had the egg benedict with spinach at our first visit, which was delicious. The hollandaise sauce could be prepared in a better way though since it was too watery and tasted weak. My food was also served 10 minutes after everyone at our table received their dishes and almost done. The capaccino was very good. Other than that the staff were friendly and helpful. I had the scone with cream and jam at the second visit which was delicious. The Earl grey tea was really nice but slightly weak in taste. If they've added more tea to the pot that could've been even better. The prices are also quite high, but if you look for somewhere nice with good quality and delicious food I would recommend this place.

DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS! Came here for this morning and sat outside in the sun. The area has lots of sparrows and wasps and the table beside us indulged the birds by feeding them (big mistake!) I ordered the Parisian breakfast of croissant, 3 slices of baguette and a thick slice of brioche and the hot chocolate (picture below) My family and I had to sit inside after one of the birds flew onto our table and shocked us. Moving inside, it was much quieter and the short haired Asian waitress was very helpful in moving our things inside, even retrieving one of our bags that we forgot at the outside table ☺️ Breakfast was very filling and delicious and would definitely return the next time I’m in Berlin. You can see the Brandenburg Gate from the outside seats, which makes the food a little more expensive 😉

Very nice food, but absolute zero service and incredibly slow wait times, an utter shambles from start to finish. Our party of 3 popped in for (what we hoped for) a quick bite on eat on our sight-seeing at about 2pm on a Saturday. There was nobody to greet us when we walked in so we stood around and made eye contact with someone who pointed us to a table. We sat down for about 6-7 minutes and nobody brought us a menu over so I went over and fetched a couple. No waitor came to ask what we wanted so we had to summon one to take our order

My wife ordered scrambled egg and some toast, my friend ordered a little bread basket and some ham, and I ordered a club sandwich. We waited for about half an hour until the scrambled eggs, toast, ham and bread came out. My wife asked for some butter for her toast, it came about 2-3 minutes later after the toast had gone half cold, having to ask for it twice

No sign of my club sandwich yet. 10-12 minutes later my wife and friend had finished and we asked the wait staff where my sandwich was. They said 3-4 minutes and half-heartedly apologised. We chased them again and then just stared at them until it came out. A waitress brought it out and said sorry several times. My wife asked it to be taken off the bill because we waited so long for it. The waitress didn't understand and just brought us the bill, and stood there when giving it to us. My wife had to tell her to come back once I'd finished eating

My sandwich was extremely tasty I'll give them that, but not worth a 45 minute wait. We looked through the bill and they had charged us 1.50 euros for the little pot of butter that my wife asked for, which is very cheeky. Really things like butter should be free. I can get an entire tub of butter back home for 1.50. We paid, left absolutely zero tip and left

The service was such a disgrace that I emplore everyone reading to avoid this cafe, save your time and your money and go to dunkin' donuts or starbucks just down the road. This place is an utter tourist trap and they know exactly what they're doing. A place like that in their location does not rely on repeat business, only tourists passing through, and their attitude and service fits that. Don't give these wasters any of your hard earned...

I never talk this big about any restaurant but this is the most racist place in Berlin!

I visited here today with my two sisters and my mom. The old waiter met us when we arrived and showed a table for us to sit. He was not very welcoming but I thought he is just tired or something else. Then we waited in the table for 15 mins and nobody came to take our order. I called a waiter and he said the old waiter needs to take the order and he’ll let him know. Then I saw them talking and the old guy didn’t even look at our table. He just went to other tables. Then he passed our table a couple of more times and everytime I tried to talk to him, he even didn’t look at us. My mom wears a hijab. He has been so racist and made my mom feel bad. We left the place and he even didn’t look at us. I am warning people wearing hijab planning to go to this place. Please do not go if you don’t want to be humiliated!! It’s 2024 and there are some racist...
