Today I visited Douglas on Unter den Linden, looking for a foundation. I had both an Estée Lauder foundation with an additional applicator and a Dior foundation in my hands. I decided to buy the Dior one and wasn’t sure where to leave the Estée Lauder products. Since their stand was on the second floor, I placed them on the makeup table nearby.
While I was at the cashier paying for my product, a consultant suddenly came over and started shaking the “empty” applicator package in front of my face, accusing me of STEALING it! She didn’t check the product properly, didn’t realize it wasn’t a foundation but an applicator in a sealed plastic package, and didn’t ask me a single question before jumping to conclusions.
There was NO apology. She told me it was my fault because I was “acting weird.” Is this what Douglas calls customer service???? That was an insane situation. I hope this consultant learns how to speak politely with customers and takes time to actually understand the products she’s selling—she confused an applicator with a foundation!
I used to love shopping at Douglas, but after this, I’ll avoid it whenever I can—and I’d recommend others do the same. The consultant had bright makeup, was medium height, and...

She gaved me SISLEY color beautifying one, I TOLD I M ALLERGIC!!!!!!! the bottles look similar and I wasn't able to look as I had crutches and I trusted someone who sells such products. THAT THING CAUSED ME ALLERGY AND ITS ALL HER FAULT. She should be FIRED and she needs every time she makes mistakes TO TAKE IT DOWN FROM HER SALARY THEN SHE WILL START TO THINK BEFORE SELLING. Because for me as a buyer I m not suppose to LOOK AT EACH OF THEIR FINGERS. I spent about 300€ for products I DONT NEED AND WHICH ARE BAD FOR ME! Also what kind of beauty advisee gives blonde woman YELLOW CONDITIONER!!!!!! all professional hairstylisy know that it TURNS BLONDE HAIR YELLOW. I hope her next hairdresser will also make her hair yellow too. Also pushing people to buy more crapp they don't want or asked for- that's CHEAP,LOW CLASS ENERGY! I m never gonna buy from Douglas again, this was all final for me, after this unprofessional way and giving me wrong product and I FEEL ATACKED when buying there, so u loose another customer, bye bye , Douglas. Read morePopped into Douglas in Berlin, wallet ready, as I wanted to stock up on skincare, makeup, perfume, the whole shebang. But apparently, invisibility is my new superpower, because not a single staff member noticed me. They were far too busy enjoying their very important conversations with each other. I hovered, I loitered, I even did the awkward slow-walk past them like a lost Sims character. Nothing. Unfortunately most of the products are presented like museum pieces, beautifully displayed but nowhere to be found unless you rummage through secret drawers like you’re on a scavenger hunt. In the end I gave up and walked a few meters down the road to Dussmann, the heavenly bookstore, where I bought 6 books and felt like a valued human being again. Ladies I don’t recommend going there, you’re already pretty, skip Douglas and go buy some books at Dussmann. Knowledge lasts longer than...
