The Staff is extremely rude and doesn't seem to understand English, even tho they only talk English to the customers.
The food and drinks are really overpriced and don't reflect the high prices in terms of quality.
The staff didn't give us a bottle opener and when we asked to have our bottles opened he asked us to bring the bottles back to the counter, instead of taking the bottles and opening it for us.
Bad service. The location is nice tho.
Update and reply to the Owner:
After i published this review, things took a weird turn.
The Employee came to our Table after we had already finished and got ready to leave. He asked us if we wanted free Coffee. We kindly declined, but thanked him for the Offer. he then wanted me to delete the Review. I told him, that i would think about it. After that his friendly demeanor quickly changed and he got a little pushy with us. He demanded for me to delete it now - on the spot, because "its mean to write a bad review". I was offering him honest Feedback on his Customer Service, but he cut me off to wipe Fake tears from his eyes, telling me that "he just cried half an hour because of my review" and - im really sorry but i saw him standing at the counter and serving other guests for the whole time. I was considering to delete this after he asked us friendly for the first time but - asking three times, more pushy and unfriendly every time he asked - thats not just a little too much. Thats rude and not how you talk to anyone. Not to a customer, not to staff, not to anyone. thats just plain disrespectful.
So no. I will stand by my review and in fact reduce it from 2 stars to only 1.
Train your Staff and be better. Honestly. Who gets THIS disrespectful because of a bad review. Just take the honest Feedback and try to improve, taking the feedback into Consideration.
How your Staff reacted to this Review and how you completely dismissed the Feedback tells a lot about what really happens behind...
Read moreI've been frequenting this little hidden gem for more than 4 years now. It was always my place of choice for a coffee after the lunch break, but now that I don't work nearby anymore it's my place of choice when meeting friends. I am not sure but it might be that the name and owners have changed meanwhile. I never paid attention to the name but something feels different for sure 🙈
Nevertheless, the cozy atmosphere, friendly baristas, perfect location, and most importantly - very tasty coffee and fair prices - are always there to be expected.
I love that this place is so quiet while being so central 😌 Also, it gets especially cozy in autumn/winter.
I've noticed some negative comments here, and I don't mean to dismiss other people's experiences but noone was ever rude to me or my friends here 🤷🏻♂️ If I had to guess, to tourists from some "friendlier" cultures, in some cases the somehow composed atitude typical for Berlin might come off as unattentive or rude. When it comes to the beverages, it's a taste thing. It happened to me as well that they had weeks of using coffee beans that aren't exactly to my liking, and I ordered cappuccinos instead of espresso to somehow balance that out, but it never occurred to me to rate the place low just because I didn't like the choice of beans at the time 🤷🏻♂️ I guess people underestimate the damage low reviews can make. Or do it intentionally...
P.S. Fun fact I've learned today: the owner is Ukrainian 🇺🇦 Makes me like the place even more, hehe. Слава...
Read moreOn the positive side, the café is located in a nice, quiet, and cozy place. But the atmosphere is very unwelcoming. I was traveling and need to join a quick meeting for at most 1h, so I searched for cafes that allow using laptops and found yours. I understand that laptop users and remote working can be counterproductive for cafés, as several people might not follow the usual etiquette. However, I found your solution of selling "laptop vouchers" rather unfriendly and "profit-centric" rather than "customer-centric"--especially when you override my choice of coffee with an Americano included in the voucher. This is not the environment people are looking for in cafés. It gets worst when witnessing that your staff constantly explaining laptop vouchers for several minutes to sitting guests every now and then and asking them to buy one. You could at least sell me a laptop voucher with my choice of drink!
As a suggestion: you can limit the wifi to, for example, two hours and every two hours if someone wants to stay longer should put another order with the new WiFi password. Or ask guests to order if they want to stay longer every 2 hours. This way you keep your business running and your guests won't feel unwelcome. They also won't be forced to a specific...
