Fleischerei — Restaurant in Berlin

The food is very good, but the service is terrible. I have been here already few times, just walk-ins and each time I had the feeling like the guests are not welcomed. But again, food is amazing so for the last Friday my husband and I booked a table one week (!!!) in advance specifying which table we want. yes, we came 10 minutes late, but we called again in advance and asked to keep our table. when we arrived our table was occupied by other people.when we said to hostess that we have a reservation she replied that we can seat anywhere we like, which makes me think that they didn't write down our reservation at all. we asked about our booked table though and she said they are very busy thats why they seated other people there. but place was half empty! thats okay, we ordered food. my husband chose rare steak and I - medium rare. we got the opposites. his was medium rare if not medium, mine was rare. he was okay with it, since we didnt really want to return both dishes, but I cannot eat rare. when we called the waitress and said that the steaks are not the way we asked, but that okay, just change one, she replied: "I dont know, im not the one who cooked it". Seriously?? we were speechless. then she continues and says: "you guys wanna say the cook made a mistake or what?" that was absolutely ridiculous. We sent my steak back and it was remade, but there was never an apology or anything. oh yes and we waited like 15 minutes for the second glass of wine. and on the top of everything, while we were there, the table we initially booked got vacant, no one offered us to be seated there and just few minutes later this table was offered to walk-in people. Nice place but the service is TERRIBLE and the food is definitely overpriced.

We had a reservation at 9pm, we arrived, we got the table, we ordered under pressure, a lot of pressure from the waitress, and we saw our food at 11pm. We were in 4, we ordered a Cout de beuf (900g) medium cooked and it arrived rare, almost bleu. Of course we didn’t push it back because we were starving. The meat was ok, nothing special and the cooking point was totally wrong. Burned outside and raw inside. The waitress was unprofessional and not very nice during all the service but the top was when we asked for the bill: they charged for the Tomahawk and not for the Cout de Buef. 94 euro instead of 79euro. When we underlined the mistake the waitress told us “Yes it was my fault, you ordered the Cout the boeuf but I brought you the Tomahawk. Anyway you have the pay the full check”. Yeah it’s not a joke, instead of say sorry and maybe offer a dessert, she insisted that we paid for her mistake. Unbelievable. She even asked us for some tips and she was very very disappointed when we refused to leave any tips. It was so bad to receive one the worst services of my life have an argue at the end of the dinner for a mistake of the waitress. I WILL NEVER COME BACK and hope that the place should upgrade the level of the service and people...

I haven’t been here for a few years - the food I remember was quite decent. Not so today: I had the AngusBurger and truffled mashed potatoes. The burger was supposed to be medium rare, but came as well done and quite dry. The taste was also a bit off, definitely not juicy and meaty (also no truffle flavour despite the truffle mayo). The mashed potatoes were good though. The service was the main downside for me. I walked in for a quick bite after the gym (it was not main dinner time, there were only 3 other tables occupied), wearing Lululemon stuff. Despite the restaurant being completely empty, the front of house staff wanted to seat me at the bar. When I asked for a proper table, they grunted „Sit down then“ and turned their backs on me. My waitress was also not very hospitable: She first frowned at my outfit, then my choice of beverage (bottle of sparkling water). When I asked for the cheque, she asked whether I liked the food and when I said „well, the burger was definitely not medium rare“, she just walked away without a word.
