La Focacceria — Restaurant in Berlin

I cannot rate this place any better after their rude behavior against me and their crew.

The situation happened around October. We made an order and have been sitting outside. As it was a warm day my dog was thirsty so went inside and calmly asked for a bowl with water for my dog. The man responded in a rude way that he has no bowls. I was surprised but said okay. Then when going to the bathroom I saw aluminum bowls in the kitchen so I asked a lady from the kitchen if she can get one with water for a dog. She started filling the bowl with water and then the man started yelling at her not to help me. I asked him with a calm voice what prevents him from helping. He responded: where are you from? No is no. Go away.

I went outside and sat at my table with friends waiting for the order to come. The focaccia arrived and have to admit it was really tasty, however it took me a few minutes to start appreciating it since I was shocked by the behavior of the man.

After a few minutes the lady from the kitchen (same lady as before) brought a dog designed bowl with water and said sorry.

I have no idea what the problem of the man was not to help at first.

Food Quality: very good tasty dough. Its super light and fluffy, and tastes very good. Several choices of toppings available, but I was a bit disappointed that in some cases they dont have enough cheese (just a bit sprinkled on top) The 4 cheeses one being the exception as it is fully covered in cheese and very recommendable.

Portions: you will need to order 2 for sure. But this gives you the benefit of ordering different types.

Drinks: lacking quite a bit. Most of the fridge was empty, only having 2-3 options at the time.

Price: $ quite decent price per slice.

Service: could be friendlier, but at least it is very fast.

Atmosphere: nice to sit outside.

Highlights: the focaccia dough is very good.

Things to improve: maybe a few more options in the toppings and definitely the drinks.

I would not recommend it, the pizza is just over crusty that i could not eat, Very dry and oily. all types of pizza just taste the same, or no taste at all. So since I can not reply on you comment, I'll just add it here: YES we were 2 persons and LITERALLY ordered 1 piece of each type and shared it 😅. Everytime we took one we hoped that the next one will taste better, but we were so disappointed at the end that all of them Just tasted so similar, very dry, the dough was either over backed or in a very poor quality that it was only dry and overcrusty. The topping was everytime so oily that you can not taste the other ingredients, that's were my critic came from :) I just live in the area since couple of years and yes it was once good that's why I came back, but unfortunately...
