Limyra — Restaurant in Berlin

They didn't inform us that we should pay in Cash only, our bill was above 250 euro. I asked their staff why you didn't inform us earlier that we should pay in cash he said you will get informed when you pay for it ( sarcastic way) and he said we dont have a card reader so CASH ONLY!.We had to walk to two different ATM machines to bring them a cash , after we back I found their owner and I explained to him the situation! First he said we have a card reader but for some reason is not working! ( I'm not sure why they didn't even try that or the other guy didn't tell us is not working at least, all the sudden stopped working) . I told him this is illegal that you have a reader and for some reason you insist on CASH! He laughed and told me no its not illegal or against the German law! Just shared with you my story to be aware if you are non-German and going to this Italian restaurant, you might get treated the same! In 21 century who carries 250 euro cash? You just caused trouble for us walking around withdrawing cash from the ATM and also paying for additional fees! I will definitely not going back...

NEVER AGAIN

We waited for our food an hour, we clearly saw that they forgot to send the order to the kitchen and then did the food as fast as they could because of the waiting time.

I ordered a Saltimboca alla Romana, that came with vegetables, instead it came with pasta and the waitress did not tell us about this. I suppose that if you put pasta instead of vegetables you would get a discount? Well not in this restaurant...

They offered us a free beer but we rejected it, and in the end they did not even offer us a discount. The manager also didn't seem to really care about our service.

To bad, because it's near my place, but anyway there are many good italian places in Berlin. If you want real italian, don't...

Phenomenal service and food. Adequate portions for good price, well seasoned, complimentary bread/olives. Everything went well until we got the bill and realized that the drink prices we were charged did not match the prices in the menu. The restaurant's solution, instead of charging us the correct prices from the menu, was to explain to me that the menu prices were wrong and it is not possible that the drinks could be this cheap.
