I'm from Belgium, and Vietnamese/Thai kitchen is something very popular in Brussels. I live there and I know a lot about these kind of kitchens. Mr. Hai and friends is a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant, very nicely decorated, a very trendy look and excellent food.
They are very fast, but it doesn't feel like they want to get you out of the restaurant as fast as possible. They are very correct with there timings. You can see straight through the kitchen as it is a glass 'box' where they cook.
Maybe one remark I can make is that we were eating our main course and our wine, which we ordered wasn't there yet, but they gave it afterwards, they weren't forgot. But they didn't assume we wanted it during our meal. But no problem was made and we enjoyed everything.
As a last positive point: it's not too expensive. I have paid 95 euros for 3 persons, we had 1 fruit Daiqiri (cocktail) and 2 mojito's. 3 times summer rolls as a starter, 3 times beef with curry and cocomilk and rice, 3 glasses of wine and a bottle of San Pellegrino.
So this was a very nice price for all the things we enjoyed.
I hope this was helpful and I really recommend this Vietnamese...

Read moreThe place is cozy and nice inside and has a lot of seats outside for sunny days. The salmon carpaccio and tuna tartar were so fresh and well prepared. Spicy tacos are highly recommended. Mr hai's sushi was as delicious as in his other restaurants. Beef salad was very good too. Definitely order a cocktail to pair with the food, the staff is very nice and recommended us what would go well with what we ordered. Will be coming back...
