Family were in town and since the other German restaurant in the Keiz was full I decided to bring them here even though I had had bad experiences before. The restaurant is charming. I gave a score of 3 for the decor not the atmosphere. The charm stops there. This time they had reserved signs on all the tables. We politely asked the waitress when she thought there might be a table available. She turned and with a scowl and utter rudeness said "why don't you ask one of the tables". We were taken back and, frankly, insulted but asked if we could wait. She said "if you want". So we went outside and talked and decide that we would wait for a while. One of us went back in to tell the waitress that we would wait a while and to let us know if a table should become available . She responded with a rude "don't bother there won't be one". She was very, very rude. Now this is the same waitress that was horrible and unwelcoming at my previous visit. I shouldn't have gone back. As for the food, it...
Read moreAuthentic Berliner Schnauze! I thoroughly recommend all tourists to come and experience a slice of the real Berlin at Diener Tattersall. No reservation needed, just ask for a table for two in your best German and enjoy the show. We were looking around for somewhere to eat and happened upon this place and we are so glad we did. The waiter (owner?) asked us our names -- very friendly, great start -- then when we asked if there was a table for two available, he scoffed and started to tell us about how little chance we had while he walked away. Would definitely come here again and would recommend others to try, too. As for food, we went on to Seoul Garden and had an amazing dinner. Service there was super-friendly and the food...
Read moreTasty bratwurst. Sat outside on a beautiful evening. But…hideous service. The owner is a grumpy old man. He argued with me angrily, saying I didn’t have a reservation — even though I had an email showing that I did. The place was only half full, and I still had to beg him to honor my reservation. His nasty attitude ruined my experience. I watched him take other people’s orders while he ignored me for 30 minutes. Maybe he hates tourists? Ugh. Never again! (I should add that his colleague, a wonderfully charming woman, emailed me the following day to apologize profusely.) She had my email from my original reservation. I truly appreciate her gesture. The nasty man could learn a...
