NOTHAFT CAFE — Restaurant in Berlin

Café Nothaft, Schönhauser Allee 43A, one of my classic go tos. One, for the great coffee they make, they are using the famous #bonanzacoffee blend 🤩, second for the great street view outside, watching the urban life rolling with Hochbahn, streets crossing and a lot of hipster urban folks, it’s quite an urban atmosphere. Before the plandemic it was spacey inside with busy people working on laptops, but now it’s the streetwise only. They pretend to be a good coffee shop, while they serve an espresso in a cappuccino cup. And beside that, the taste is awful like they just cleaned the machine (it happened to me 3 times out of 3). Everything is overpriced for no reason, they only live on hipsters with mac laptops who want to use their free wifi to check Facebook (clearly hipsters iPhones don't have a 3g connection). 2 stars because at least the staff is really nice and kind, and they have wifi if you need to organize an informal meeting with a business partner. One of the best cafés I’ve been to in Berlin. The moment you walk in, the staff greets you with a warm smile and the atmosphere instantly feels welcoming.

The food options are amazing, especially if you’re looking for vegan choices. They offer a wide selection of pastries, croissants, and sandwiches, and their vegan croissants are honestly some of the best I’ve ever had.

The woman who was working this morning, whom I’ve seen there before, was absolutely lovely. She made my day with her kindness and set the tone for a great morning.
