Edit Nov 23: (warning - long review)

This is our forth time at this restaurant. Every past time we dined there, the experience was superb! So naturally for our anniversary, excitedly, we took our kids and decided that this time, influenced by our past experiences, we will try the steaks. This turned out to be a big mistake!

My wife ordered a medium well New York strip, and I ordered a medium rare New York strip. We had high expectations which were dashed when my wife got back a steak slightly above rare, and I got mine blue. I mean it was literally cold in the middle. And if that wasn't bad enough, both steaks were very under seasoned. We barely felt any salt or pepper. The New York strip is a very hard cut to get right, especially in this style (see the image). Because of its shape it has much less surface area than other cuts. On top of that it does not have much fat content like rib-eyes for example. This makes seasoning and temperature hard to get right. We understand. So even though the temperature and seasoning were way off, we asked our waiter to fix them, explaining exactly what was wrong. He asked my wife to place the steak in one of the unclean small plates already on the table (first time I see this in any restaurant!). My wife, not wishing the steak to taste like shrimp water refused, so the waiter braught new small plates and took the steaks. Leaving the sides on the table. About 7 minutes later (roughly. I didn't measure), on the same small plates, sitting in their own steak juices, the steaks returned. Mine was well done (should have been medium rare), and my wife's was burned to grey, making it uneatable. We decided to give mine to my wife and give up on the other. The staff were very sympathetic, and told us that they will remove my steak from the bill, but at the end of the day we left 88 euros for: 4 drinks, 2 kid's mains, 1 starter, and 1 badly made steak, and myself going home very disappointed on my anniversary event. My recommendation: this could have been a one off thing, and our past experiences were great, but it really felt like the kitchen had no respect for customers paying 31 euro for a dish. This is an embarrassment for a place like Tony Roma's, and the overall response after the two errors of "oh, sorry, we'll take it off the bill" was also underwhelming and unsatisfying. Now we're most likely not going to return a fifth time after this event, but if we will, I guess we will stay away from steaks.

Previous review (Feb 23): I usually add some images to these reviews, but this time the food looked so good that the 6 of us jumped on it and started devouring as soon as, if not before it hit the table. Every single thing was delicious, from the perfectly glazed super tender ribs, to the shrimp, the lolipop chicken, and even the sides. The baby back ribs chilli cheese fries are incredible! My parents came to visit us and I knew I had to bring my ribs enthusiast mom to try these. She was as happy as I've ever seen her. Very highly...

To be fair, the food I ordered tastes OK. The environment is clean and tidy. Nevertheless I will not go back again, and will never invite others to this restaurant. Reason-I ordered Veal Rib($18,5) in the Business lunch menu, with "Only" Business lunch menu and Drinks menu opened. I particularly point my finger on the item I want, because it happened previously that some restaurants took wrong orders. So I really pay attention to food ordering. In another word, the Normal Menu was closed. When I paid the bill, I was charged for "Normal" portion($26,5). I asked the waitress about the mistake and gave her a proposal, that maybe the restaurant could offer a discount on my next visit. She said after check with the manager, it's not possible to give the discount, because I ate the "Normal portion" already. I questioned her "Customers are not a Professional who works in the kitchen, how can we tell the difference of the Portion between Business lunch and normal portion? And it's the first time I visit in the restaurant. And, is that fair to put the responsibility on customers shoulders?" She then said she remembered that I pointed on the "Normal menu". I asked her "Do you have a video recorder here?" She said "Yes, everywhere." Then I told her "I could pay the whole bill, but you could check the video recording afterwards, I ensure you that I pointed on the Business Lunch menu".

For Tony Romas, an International Chain restaurants, maybe you don't give a care One customer more or less, but it could be absolute a reminder to other visitors-Remember to Double-Triple check, or be professional enough to differentiate the portion of Business Lunch and...

I was at the restuarant Saturday with a couple of friends and I would say this is the worst experience I have had in Berlin. First we arrived just two of us and our kids and we got a table outside but because it was too sunny we instantly decided to change so we asked the waiter if we could move to another sit under the umbrella. The waiter told us he would have to ask about it even though there was no sign or reserved on it. Then we sat down and waited for someone to attend to us almost 30 mins and no one came to use we had to call the attention of several waiters who declined and said that’s not their table to wait. Finally a rude waiter came to our table and asked us rudely what we wanted we made our orders and waited. We ordered the family feast, when it arrived some items were missing took us a moment to notice but we did and at this point I was so pissed I had to go inside to complain. They eventually sent a nicer waiter to us but at this point it’s already too late. One blonde waiter was so unhappy to see us I’m not sure why but I think it’s because we had kids. She pulled the chair off and was so rude speaking to us about the kids. There were other people with kids in the restaurant even the table right next to us had a small son. Whilst we were there other people with kids came in to the restaurant so we concluded that it was because of our skin color. I have a lot to say about my experience that Saturday in general the food was good but the service was terrible. If they do not want black people in the restaurant they could have said it instead of treating us the...

As a visitor from the UK in Berlin for an event at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, I decided to stop by Tony Roma's for a meal, and I wasn’t disappointed. The service was top-notch – the staff were friendly and attentive throughout, which made for a really pleasant experience. I sat outside in the sun with a nice cold beer, which was perfect for the day. I ordered the full rack of ribs, and while I don’t often have ribs, these were absolutely fantastic. The portion was huge, and they came with a generous serving of skin-on fries that were delicious, along with a big portion of coleslaw. There was also a great selection of sauces to add to the ribs, which was a nice touch. The whole meal, including a tip, came to just over 40 euros, and given the location, I was very happy with that. All in all, a great spot for some proper comfort food after a day at the arena.

Were mid tbh. The food was ok, I have expected more from the reviews. I had the recommended burger, which was nice but the patty was too hard but as I've said I had expected more from it. My favourite burger joint around my neighbourhood could do better than this. My husband got a steak and a rib combo which is great, the ribs were soft and melted in your mouth. It is so marinated you can't taste the real meat. The steak was to perfection, but the baked potato was really mid. For appetizers we got the famous loaf onions, mid. The mixed plate appetizers, chicken tenders were too hard, mozzarella sticks are so bland that you need the dips to give it a taste. The star of the plate was the potato skin. For my kid we got her chicken tenders, still, the chicken were too hard but at least she enjoyed the fries and was happy with it.
