As an Asian customer at World of Pizza, I had an extremely disappointing experience that left me frustrated and dissatisfied. From the moment I entered the establishment until the time I left, the service and quality of food were abysmal.
Upon arriving at around 1pm, I was hoping to satisfy my hunger with a delicious meal. However, to my surprise, the place was completely empty. I expected the staff to acknowledge my presence and take my order promptly. Unfortunately, despite three people in the kitchen seeing me, they intentionally ignored me, which was both disheartening and unprofessional.
After waiting for a considerable 20 minutes, I had no choice but to call out louder to grab their attention. It was only then that they finally noticed me. However, despite being the only customer, there was still no one available to assist me. I found it perplexing that no one was attending to my order when there were no other customers demanding their attention.
Finally, after an additional 30 minutes of waiting, I received my order of lasagna. To my dismay, it was evident that the lasagna had been preheated and tasted extremely unpleasant. Regrettably, a few hours later, I became sick, likely due to the low quality of the dish. The fact that they made me wait so long for an unsatisfactory meal was utterly unacceptable.
To add insult to injury, when the woman who served me took my payment, she abruptly left without providing any utensils. I had no choice but to call her attention again, causing a further delay of 10 minutes. At this point, I resorted to loudly calling out "hello miss" to the people in the kitchen, who seemed to be intentionally hiding from their responsibilities.
It is disheartening to share that my overall experience at World of Pizza was extremely poor. The staff's intentional neglect, the prolonged waiting times, the subpar quality of the food, and the lack of basic customer service left me deeply unsatisfied. As an Asian customer, I cannot help but wonder if my ethnicity played a role in the poor treatment I received.
I hope this review serves as feedback for World of Pizza to improve their service, enhance their quality standards, and foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment for...
Read moreToday (May 31, 2021) I ordered a Sakura Bowl and a Pizza Salami for pickup. In the order I marked to remove bell peppers, broccoli and cashews, and I also added a comment to please substitute with more couscous and chicken for the Sakura bowl, as this order is for my kids who in our case generally enjoy veggies not very much.
My wife went to pick it up and attempted to confirm with the cashier that it was done as asked for but the cashier basically just said that they left things out but would not substitute anything. She also said that substituting would cost extra. Why? We asked for substitutes, not for extra food, also the food didn’t get cheaper by removing some things. Doesn’t seem fair.
We’re used to the branch at Prenzlauer Berg (Ella-Kay-Str.) where they happily do this without questions asked and in a super nice and friendly way. So this was quite the disappointment.
My wife then asked to re-add the left out veggies at least, not to have a half-empty bowl, which they did.
They had my phone number from the order, so if something isn’t possible, I would expect a quick callback informing me beforehand but unfortunately that didn’t happen.
Anyway, after my wife came back, the bowl was unfortunately almost cold and the chicken more burned then not (see photo.) The pizza was still warm and good.
Overall unfortunately a disappointing experience especially for parents under...
Read moreI have been going to this place regularly for the past year as this is one of the few places in the city that make edible gluten free pizza. However I am not going again.
Tonight, the guy at the checkout refused to show me the price of the order before I did the contactless payment and became angry and extremely rude when I insisted. This is not allowed according to any card processing agreement.
He also checked the covid app without using a scanner and revealed the personal information stored within my phone, which is not allowed either.
This on top of the general hostility of the staff gives this location one star. Unfortunately, it's not possible to give a lower rating.
The threatening attitude and hostility does not even belong at a construction site, let alone in a customer facing job.
This is completely unacceptable and I will also report this to their card payment processor, who needs to know...
