After entering and sitting down at the bar, we noticed that there was no waiter in sight. The staff seemed to be around the corner, smoking and chatting for about ten minutes. The bar was only half full when we arrived. The initial contact we had with the staff was not very friendly; after being served our wine, when we requested some water, we received an annoyed response that she was on it.
Once we finished our drinks, we wanted to order another round, but despite making eye contact and trying to signal with our hands for about 15 minutes, we were completely ignored. The staff passed by us several times while preparing drinks for others without acknowledging our presence.
Frustrated, I attempted to queue on the other side of the bar where they were serving other patrons, who were simply picking up their drinks. When the bartender finally noticed me, she went to my friend, who was still seated. We ordered a Negroni and a Moscow Mule, which tasted like drinks you'd expect during a €5 happy hour.
After finishing our drinks, we tried once again to get the staff's attention to pay. My friend, feeling exasperated, began waving in front of the waiter's face to finally get noticed. When we were told that this behavior was rude, I explained that it was rude to ignore us the entire evening. However, there was no reaction or apology from the staff.
I understand that people can be busy, but when you sit with empty drinks for over 10 minutes while the staff serves others and can’t even make eye contact, it raises concerns about their suitability for service roles. I hope the owner realizes that this type of behavior can lead to losing customers and revenue in the long...
Read moreHad a nice evening at Z-Bar. Kind of stumbled into it and wasn't disappointed. The inside is uniquely decorated with a cinema motif and, in fact, there is a sort of screen-room in the back, though I have no idea if it's ever used for screenings. Fair prices and good atmosphere for conversation and some drinks. There isn't a lot of seating, so I think we were quite lucky to have gotten a table. Note that smoking was allowed, but it wasn't as suffocating as in some of...
Read moreThis is not the usual kind of bar. It's a cute, cozy little bar that's barely noticeable when passing by on the main street. It's a low-profile bar that will serve really good drinks at a cheaper price (the Negronis there will get you buuZzZed). The staff is very friendly as well! The best part about this bar is that they have a room at the back where comedies take place ❤️
I've had some of the best times at the New York Comedy club that performs there!
Highly...
