I love the staff here and the food is good, they always have nice music and the coffee is always good. I want to be here on a regular basis since it’s close to my flat, but I recommend that you avoid coming here when the owner is in the cafe as he is a very rude and unnecessarily confrontational man. He wears business casual, is bald, and talks with a french accent. I highly recommend that you avoid this cafe if he is inside. I was the only one in the cafe, quietly taking a call while standing near the window, and he interrupts my call multiple times to tell me that I must sit down or he will kick me out of the cafe. He took no issue with the noise I was making, with anything else about my behaviour, and refused to give me a reason for why I needed to sit down. He even stood up to get right in my face to threaten me with being ejected from the cafe. The cafe is recommended and the person who works behind the bar is lovely, but if you don’t want to support so-called "small business tyrants" then do with this information...
Read moreA friendly place for lunch. We stumbled upon this place after our visit to the Jewish museum. To finish of our lunch my boyfriend and I ordered a carrot cake. The lady said she had forgotten to add walnuts to the cake so she wasn't sure if the cake would be good. We tasted the cake and had no problem with it. The cake was perfectly fine. After tasting herself the owner said we didn't need to pay the cake, she wasn't happy with the result. So we got our carrot cake for free. What a nice gesture!

Read moreI used to frequent this cafe with my boyfriend, as we live in the area and enjoyed the atmosphere. However, after my recent experience, I will not be returning. The barista was incredibly rude, telling me not to use the socket next to me and that I was "occupying too much space." Mind you, the cafe was almost empty at the time.
She then pointed out that I had been there for two hours, clearly keeping track of my time and using it as an excuse to make me feel unwelcome. This kind of attitude towards a regular customer is unacceptable.
It's no wonder this place is often just empty. A little focus on customer service goes a long way, and this kind of rudeness is simply not okay. We won't be...
