Charlotte 1 — Restaurant in Berlin

Pizzas, pastas, lasagnes and salats are usually highly ranked at Charlotte place. It's a small street food restaurant, crowded during lunchtime as many nearby workers go there for a quick lunch or takeaway. While you wait in a line to order and listen to some yelling, you can enjoy looking in the kitchen to see your pizza ready. Salads and pastas that went to neighbours looked nice. We ordered pizza Siciliana. Dough for the pizza tasted good, but here the story stops. Pizza looked more cooked than baked. Ingredients like cut onions were unbaked and besides regular tomato sauce and melted cheese there were few picked capre, black olives and artichoke - overall all too salty. Pizzas are also very small. I understand it is a very cheap place, but there is nothing good about the food and while it is a popular spot for the people to hang around and chat, it's just too crowded, noisy and hectic...

The pizza is super nice. You get a small pizza for about 3.5 - 4.5 €. They prepare food really fast and also provide the option to take away. I got my pizza delivered in 6 minutes. The space is small and usually full during the lunch hours. So, it is advised to take away or you can wait until someone finishes up their lunch.

I usually go that place with my Italian friend, and you know how reserved they are in terms for their beloved food. I would recommend this place because my Italian friend says "This is the best pizza place around, and I can eat there. Except they have a little more salt in their pizza place".So trust me it is an Italian(my friend) certified restaurant and you should go there.

The customer service is very very polite. I haven't seen more polite customer service in Berlin...

What a great find! The pizza is affordable, a good portion and in a nice location. I finished up a walking tour nearby and was wandering on my way to the Jewish Museum and found it. The pizza was tasty, fresh, and the hostess was very nice and helpful; its worth the queue if there is one. The restaurant is small, no indoor seating currently but there are around 4 small tables with patio chairs if you’re lucky to snag one. Otherwise there’s a park just south of the restaurant with lots of benches. I ordered the Hawaii pizza, a contentious flavour but if you’re pro pineapple on pizza, I highly recommend. The pineapple had so much flavour, it definitely left me wishing there were a few...
