Reine Enttäuschung!

Am 1. Dezember wollten ein Freund (ein Schwarzer aus Großbritannien) und ich dort hin, als wir hineingingen sagte der Türsteher sofort zu uns: "Nein, Sie dürfen nicht rein." "Warum?" hab ich gefragt. "Sie sind zu feminin. Hier ist eine Gaybar, und nur männliche Männer dürfen rein." "Wir sind doch schwul." ... Es ist ihm egal, wir durften einfach nicht rein.

Wie traurig! Ist Köln nicht für "schwulenfreundlich" bekannt? Ist Köln keine Stadt der Toleranz? Ich weiß, Asiaten und Schwarzen sind in Deutschland sehr "nicht willkommen", ich weiß, asiatische Männer haben hier einen schlechten Ruf ---- "die sind keine Männer". Aber solche offizielle und direkte Diskriminierung und Rassismus, insbesondere von anderen Schwulen, haben wir jedoch nie erwartet.

Wie beschämend! Schwule sollten die Gemeinschaft der Liebe und Gleichheit sein. Als Schwule dürften wir sogar nicht in eine Gaybar rein! Als Schwule werden wir von anderen Schwulen diskriminiert!?!? Wann ist die Gemeinschaft der Liebe und Gleichheit die Gemeinschaft des Hasses, Missbrauchs und Insensitivismus geworden? Entschuldigung, wir sind auch Menschen, genauso wie ihr!

Nur ein Tipp für den Chef: Wenn Sie keine anderen farbigen Rasse, CD, Trans und Feminine-Schwulen akzeptieren möchten, sollten Sie am Eingang einen Schild aufhängen: Nur männliche weiße Schwule dürfen rein.

Pure disappointment!

On December 1st, a friend(a black guy from the UK) and I wanted to visit there, when we went in, the doorman said to us immediately, "No, you're not allowed to get in." "Why?" I asked. "You're too feminine, here is a gaybar, and only the masculine males are allowed to get in." "We are gay." ... It doesn't matter to him, we just not allowed to get in.

How sad! Is Cologne not known for "gay-friendly"? Is Cologne not a city of tolerance? I know Asians and Blacks are very "not welcome" in Germany, I know, Asian men have a bad reputation here ---- "not man enough". But we never expected such official and direct discrimination and racism, especially from other gays.

How shameful! Gays should be the community of love and equality. As gays, we are not even allowed to go into a Gaybar! As gays, we are discriminated by other gays!?!? When did the community of love and equality become the community of hatred, abuse and insensitivism? Sorry, we are human, just like you!

Just as a tip for the boss: If you don't want to accept other colored race, CD, trans, feminine gays, you should hang a sign at the entrance: Only masculine white gays...

Great gay club in Köln. Been to Köln twice now, once in February and once in May, and I spent several evenings/nights at Pullermanns during both my trips. The door man was always nice and welcoming. The first time I came here, he took a minute to explain to me how the bar card works, minimum consumption and that I'll pay when I check out. Bar and wardrobe staff were great, with some being friendlier than others. Hot place with a lot of action. The only downside is that people use the WC as smoking room, and staff doesn't seem to bother, so using the WC as a non-smoker can sometimes be a bit unpleasant. However my overall experience with this place is great, and I'll be back...

I've been to this place many times. A well-organized fetish cruising bar. Perhaps the customers should be more careful about being less dirty. My compliments to both the bartenders and the bouncers, who do a great job but are also very kind and cheerful towards everyone, who, like me, have never bothered or caused problems for anyone. Since I no longer live in Cologne, I can only cherish the fondest memory of a much-needed encounter with an employee the very night before my departure (3 weeks ago). I will always remember you.
