first time to try this place (8 october 24). it is located just infront of the church and old ruins. great selection of food for breakfast, lunch / dinner, snacks. had the creamed cheese soup and orange and ginger ale for lunch. soup was served hot and it was indeed creamy and tasty. the restaurant has great atmosphere both indoor and outdoor. toilet was also very clean (one of the best toilet in Europe as far as I could remember while on a 22 days tour in Europe). the restaurant takes pride of its product / quality food and they are served aesthetically (they all look pretty). I would highly recommend this place. like I said to the staff, if and only I live in Germany.. I’ll have my breakfast, lunch and dinner here.

Was looking forward to a Schweinshaxe (crispy pork knuckle ) when in Germany and it ended up being in a Swiss restaurant and it did not disappoint the skin was crispy and the meat slightly smoky. Sorry, I cannot guarantee this being available as it was on the specials board, but if it is I can highly recommend it. My wife had the cordon bleu with a side of baked potatoes and really enjoyed both (particularly the potatoes!) Conveniently located by the Church of our Lady with the inside decorated as a Swiss chalet this is an easy restaurant to find. Staff were pleasant but it was hard to get the bill, hardly an issue at all. Overall a good experience and would certainly recommend to a friend!

I was excited to dine here because the menu looked promising, but the restaurant was packed on a Thursday at 6:30pm so I had to sit outside (quite cold out already). Service was horribly slow and inattentive, but I guess they are understaffed. I ordered the pork cheeks, which took a while to come out. When it did, the pork was tender and hot but the cauliflower was cold and tasted like it was sitting around for a bit. Average dish, nice wine sauce but not much flavor aside from that. Edit: changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 star because I got symptoms of food poisoning the next morning after dining here. Still feeling unwell days later. Really put a damper on my trip to Dresden. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Location is very good, as you can admire the city center, look at old buildings, watch people passing by, which is what I liked about this place. Yet, the service is quite slow, since we waited around 30 minutes for a burger & pizza. After removing all the onions from pizza (it had some other name though, starting with the name of the place) I was left with just cream-cheese and few slices of ham to eat. My husband liked his burger, it was called Edelweiss 'something' (don't remember sadly). Prices were probably above average, as 15€per Burger or pizza. Staff was very unfriendly and rather weird, as if they expected something from us, that we weren't aware of.

TERRIBLE FONDUE! JUSTIFYING WAITER! Came here to try their cheese fondue but all we got was stale bread (the kind you feed to birds) and the fondue was not well made. We did not finish the food as it was really hard to eat. After dinner, the waiter with tattoos came by and asked for our opinion on the food and we told him the bread was not fresh. He got upset and tried to justify saying it was made correctly, „the way they make it in switzerland.“. Having been there ourselves we can tell it was not. We just left after but will never come back. We highly encourage people to not waste their time here.

Wow!!!
