Bierhaus Dampfschiff — Restaurant in Dresden

Food and beers were very tasty. We tried sausages and some craft beers from Dresden. But I have to mention one member of the staff who sent us away when we came with "we are fully booked" sentence even though we saw empty tables. I couldn't handle it so i came back after 3 min and were seated without a problem by another member of the staff. After we were seated we saw how "the one" sent away another 15 people in total but other one got seated 10 people. Craving for German Cuisine esp. the Saxonian one? This Resto doesnt only offer traditional German-Saxonian Dishes but also their best Wine at this cozy basement of Hilton Dresden Hotel. Do take a look at the details of this ancient underground crypts below the fame Brühl's Terrace.

As a big fan of German Sauerbraten (meat marinated before cooking in a mixture of vinegar, water, spices and seasonings) I ordered a nice portion Saxonian Beef Pot Roast with Potato Dumplings which could spoil my empty tummy that evening.

We came here with a tour group so the menu was set (preselected). The food was forgettable and the server was incredibly rude & arrogant. He acted as if I personally offended him when I asked for a regular Coke Zero instead of the bizarre half Diet Coke/half orange soda he inexplicably gave me (which I never asked for!).

Needless to say, AVOID this restaurant if you are in a group tour!

Go to a regular German restaurant here in Dresden and skip this place! You are much better off going to any other restaurant here in Dresden!
