I had a terrible experience at the ice cream parlor. I stood in line like everyone else. I ordered an ice cream with the people serving at the counter. The people were friendly and only asked me what ice cream I wanted. I got my ice cream and proceeded to look for a place to sit inside the establishment. When I suddenly entered, one of the waitresses placed her hand in front of my chest and told me in English that I couldn't sit there and I asked her why, to which she responded that it was because I ordered takeout and not to eat there. I told him that it didn't make sense and that I wanted to sit down, to which he repeated that I couldn't sit there. I leave the place and notice that there was a table available outside and therefore I proceed to use it so I can eat my ice cream. Minutes later, another of the workers at the place approaches me and speaks directly to me in Spanish, saying in an unfriendly way that I can sit there and to which I respond in Spanish that because it is not possible if I am just another customer. The man answers me in a more euphoric way that I shouldn't be there, that I ordered takeout. The grocer adds that there are different prices for takeout and for eating in and that there is a sign in English that informs them and points me to the sign. I responded that the sign is behind me and I had not seen it. That there was no sign near the line and that when I ordered my ice cream they did not inform me of that nor did they ask me if I wanted to take my ice cream or eat it at the place, plus I was a tourist and had only been there for one day. The man rudely responded that he didn't care that I was a tourist and that the sign was there but that today he let the situation go. Already angry at the waiter's behavior, I tell him to please tell me how much extra I have to pay to eat my ice cream in peace at the place. that he brought me the bill that I was paying him and proceeded to ignore me to which I told him that he was actually going to give a bad review and that his actions are completely discriminatory to which the waiter responds "do what you want". Then a German man who was at the next table told me in Spanish that eating there was cheaper. I responded to the other user that the waiter told me that it was of a different value and more expensive. So I don't understand the waiter's actions and the terrible...
Read moreDear visitors, as of today, I live more than 15 years in Düsseldorf. Through all the time, especially in summer, I was craving for a decent portion of ice cream. Therefore, I visited a numerous amount of places and can definitely say that Pia has the very best ice cream. First things first, quality. The ice cream is actually made of natural ingredients and therefore it has not that water-like structure and taste. It's just perfect. The price is very fair. If you decide to have a seat inside and order an ice cream dish, you won't be disappointed. The different ice cream creations have not only a good taste but also have an appealing look, especially for those who love posting beautiful food on Instagram or TikTok. Aside of the product quality I would like to commend the service. Waiters are very friendly and generous. Also the assortment is huge. There are also new flavors every year. To sum things up, if you should ever decide to go for an ice cream in Düsseldorf, make sure you don't miss...
Read moreIt is definitely the best ice cream place in all of Düsseldorf, which I highly recommend to everyone. There are different flavors of ice cream, I had the opportunity to try pistachio ice cream, which was delicious! ✨ On top of that, the coffee is perfect which together creates a really must-visit place. What's more, there is incredibly nice and friendly staff, mostly very welcoming Italians. ❣️One of the staff members, Gabriele, is very cordial and makes sure that every guest is satisfied. I highly recommend this place not only for the wonderful flavors but also for the amazing atmosphere and the outpouring of warmth and openness to others from the people...
