Naniwa sushi & more — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

The food is truly delicious here, and I can see why the rating is so high. However, the food isn't worth the very odd service, in my opinion. We waited in line for an hour for dinner, as we tried to get a reservation and none were available. When we came in, they quickly took our order. However when I asked for another drink after we had received our food, I was told that they were closing in a couple of minutes and so I could only get a drink if I could "drink fast." Important note is that we'd been inside the restaurant for less than an hour at this point. I assured them I would drink fast and was then told they actually couldn't serve any more drinks. Seems odd when the restaurant was still full of people and there was a drinks fridge right there. They also started clearing dishes that still had food on them, which we weren't finished eating, and we had to ask them to wait. Next time, I'll choose a different Japanese offering on...

The Place: Its Cozy Sushi Place Atmosphere. Its Chillax interior is actually one of its beauty. Classy Black Interior color matches its green wall contrast.

The Restaurant has 2 floors so they can accommodate more Customers.

The Food: Ordered Yokohama Special Sushi Set, Unagi Udon, Eggplant Side dish and Takoyaki. The Food is Superb 👍 Fish Quality is Sushi Grade which is of High Standard! Sushi wether its Tuna or Salmon just melts in your mouth. The Unagi is so good! Same as what can a person eat in Japan. Takoyaki is not as good as in Japan but can be a good option. Eggplant side dish is also good.

The Price: For its Quality, very Affordable 👍 You pay what you get for and It is on the Mid range Level so anyone can enjoy good quality...

Good to know: This is a strictly sushi restaurant but they do offer some hot options more commen to a Izakaya. They speak English but the menu is not in English. You can pay by Card or Cash Opposite from this restaurant is the sister restaurant which sells Noodles.

Why I recommend this restaurant: We choose this restaurant for lunch, a sushi lunch. They offer a wide variety of Sushi and Sashimi. We ordered sashimi of tuna and salmon. The fish was excellent quality. We also had some hoso-maki and maki sushi. It's one of the best sushi we had so far. We had M3, M15, M23, M24, M25 and M26. The last four, we only ordered half the portion to be able to experience more flavours. This was a real treat! The food came quickly, perfect for a relaxing lunch.
