Terrible service and experience! I booked a two-night hotel stay. The hotel advertised a 11-square-meter room on the Booking website, but when I entered the room, it didn't even have 10 square meters! There was also no safety lock on the inside of the door, which is very unsafe. I contacted the Booking customer service multiple times to call the hotel reception, but they refused to answer (the hotel reception is supposed to be available 24 hours). They also denied their own problem and have not responded to the Booking platform until now. They refused to provide a refund! I immediately booked another hotel. Solo travelers, do not choose to stay at this hotel! It lacks a safety lock! A safety lock is the most basic requirement for any hotel!
Now, the review I wrote on Google has been published, and your PR team immediately responded! Didn't I send you emails before and your hotel never replied? I chose to stay at your hotel through the Booking official website! When the Booking customer service called your hotel front desk, your staff refused to answer and communicate with the Booking customer service! Do you still claim to provide quality service? Your idea of quality service is making guests wait in the hotel lobby for over two hours! Your hotel operates 24 hours downstairs and even has a bar! No need to swipe a card to enter the hotel entrance! No need to swipe a card to access the stairs either! And even the elevator doesn't require card access! Where is your security? The room's door doesn't even have a safety lock! The door is also old and worn out! At that time, I communicated with you to check out and get a full refund, but you didn't agree! You refused to answer calls from the Booking customer service to communicate! You completely rejected communication! It's truly disgusting! Most importantly, you even engage in false advertising by promoting the room in the photos as 11 square meters on the Booking official website? You guys are...
Read moreAfter a ten minute walk from the station in the sweltering heat I took a right and left and saw the hotel in front of. Walking in felt a little different to other hotels, it felt relaxed, almost like walking into somebody’s home. I was greeted by two ladies speaking impeccable English (my German is zero ☹ ) and the check in was polite, friendly, quick and easy.||I caught the elevator to the second floor to find a room decorated in an retro, industrial style, a large comfy bed and plenty of lamps and plugs. There was also a record player and a selection of records but I didn’t get the chance to play them. The bathroom was black and white tiles and continued the retro feel. ||After a quick shower to cool down and a lie down with the fan pointing at me, there is no air con, there is a ceiling fan but I’m not sure how it works but there is a stand-along fan which was very much appreciated.||As I left to head to the old town, the receptionist remembered my name as she said, “have a good evening.” It took me around 10-15 minutes to walk to the old town (I don’t walk particularly fast and it was very hot.) ||I got back to the hotel just before midnight and was warmly welcomed again. I ordered a large beer and took it to my room.||I was too lazy to go for breakfast so I can’t comment on how good or bad it was. I did get a good quality coffee for €3 as I left the hotel. I was out all day Saturday but I returned around 10.30 in the evening. I had a couple of beers at the bar and headed to bed.||Sunday morning, I was too lazy again to make breakfast and checked out at 11:30, this time I had a coffee sat at the bar/reception.||This a lovely, friendly hotel and I have no problem in recommend it to other people and I will certainly stay here again if I stay...
Read moreTitle: Disappointing Experience at Max Brown Hotel Düsseldorf
I recently stayed at the Max Brown Hotel in Düsseldorf, and my experience was far from what I had hoped for. Here is a summary of my stay:
Rooms: The rooms in this hotel were disappointingly small and, furthermore, lacked air conditioning. This was especially problematic because the weather during my stay was quite warm. The limited space and the absence of air conditioning made it very uncomfortable to sleep and relax in the room.
Bathroom: Another aspect that left me dissatisfied was the bathroom. It was equipped with an outdated shower with a shower curtain. This did not feel particularly modern or hygienic. A shower enclosure with glass doors would be much more fitting for a hotel of this kind.
Breakfast: The breakfast at the hotel was decent but nothing to write home about. The variety was acceptable, but there was nothing exceptional about the offerings. Given the price I paid, I had expected more in terms of quality and choice.
All in all, I cannot recommend the Max Brown Hotel in Düsseldorf. The small rooms without air conditioning, outdated bathroom amenities, and mediocre breakfast service made my stay less pleasant than I had hoped for. There are likely better options available in Düsseldorf for a...
