The location is about the only positive trait of the hotel.
Problems began immediately upon check-in. The bed linens were covered in what appeared to be dog hair. Disgusting on its own, but increasingly concerning due to my severe allergies that were triggered by being covered in the hair upon initially laying in it in unknowingly. The manager at the front desk did happily switch rooms, but truthfully, it was unacceptable for it to happen in the first place. In preparing the room, the staff left some notes on the mirrors and placed an Ambassador Elite gift ON the bed, which begs the question of if they were merely negligent in checking the room, or simply did not care.
The problems only escalated when for consecutive nights there was NO parking available in the garage. There are only about 30-ish spots in the garage, and well over 100 rooms in the hotel from my count. It is incredibly unreasonable to advertise on-site parking when one can only use it if he times it right.
The breakfast area is a majority inaccessible for any average height woman (considering the average height globally is around 5'3"). Had someone not been there to help me who is much taller, I wouldn't have been able to reach about half of the breakfast. I couldn't imagine how much more exasperated this issue could become for someone who is mobility impaired or has other disabilities.
The rooms cannot be cooled other than opening the windows, and the city was loud through the night (especially the weekends).
The new (clean room) was near some crew doors at the end of the hall, which I didn't even think would be an issue until I was awakened at 7 or 8 am with the loud slamming of the door (6-8 times in under 2 minutes). This happened multiple times through the stay, at varying hours.
Between the noise and the absolutely annoying automatic under bed light, little sleep was had. The mattress is on a piece of wood, and is by far the worst I've slept on throughout the US and EU.
The staff overall was hit-or-miss in if they were respectful and/or helpful, which compounded some of the other issues that were experienced.
Might be an okay choice if the price is right and only for 1 night stay, but I would personally NEVER stay here again regardless of...

We had an overall good experience and loved the actual design/decor and location; however, not sure if we will stay at a Moxy hotel again. We loved how you check-in and are immediately given a complimentary drink, however the man who checked us in was not super friendly. He asked for my ID which I gave him my drivers license and he replied that it wasn’t an accepted form of identification. Which was fine because I also had my passport but he just asked for an ID and didn’t specify he needed my passport. Once I got my passport out he didn’t even check it… so I don’t know what the point was if he didn’t even check it after all… The next night we ran into him again and asked if he had any bar recommendations and he seemed annoyed and rolled his eyes until someone else who was working jumped in to help us. In terms of the room we were initially super excited and happy with our room because there was a nice big tv located right across the bed however we could not connect our phone to the tv so we were not able to use the streaming services such as netflix or youtube to watch what we wanted. So we really couldn’t use the tv besides the German stuff they had on the tv ☹️ The bed was also not comfortable and had some annoying automatic light that would turn on near the bottom of the bed that was motion-activated. So every time you dropped something or had to get up it would turn on and was quite annoying when you wanted the room to be dark. Also I wanted to use the gym and went downstairs to check it out but turns out there was no gym? Just an empty room with no fitness equipment. I didn’t want to bother the front desk again because of our previous encounters with the unfriendly front desk attendant. Overall, not a bad hotel we would just prefer to stay at hotel with a friendlier front desk person, a room where we had access to streaming services such as Netflix, and a gym. We do like their bar though and the vibe of the bar so we will be back to come to their bars in any future locations we...

PROS *Great location for those arriving at Düsseldorf Hbf or even local trains, with many public transport options nearby *Around the corner from supermarkets, Little Tokyo and many eateries. *Clean rooms - a testament to housekeeping. *Breakfast spread was good quality and extensive.
CONS *I experienced rude, condescending, patronising customer service from two front desk agents, in two separate interactions, leading me to conclude that this hotel isn’t isolated in its service flaws. First, a front desk agent refusing to explain the facilities and inclusions of my booking (it was my first time staying and I like to know what’s included as a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member). Second, I ordered food from the bar, let the same front desk agent know I’d come down later, even providing a time frame via the Bonvoy chat app, yet he relished in the thought of throwing out my food and still charging me. What is the point of him acknowledging I’d be downstairs at a certain time if he had intended to not honour this. Same thing happened on day two except day two I was in the lobby and waiting the whole time within eye contact of the front desk agents. The manner in which they spoke, the language they chose to use and the actions they took despite writing otherwise via the Bonvoy chat app, I find, are deplorable. Terrible service and by far the worst service I’ve received across my 250 nights in different Marriott chain hotels. I attempted to speak to a manager on duty but was declined, told no MoD is onsite.
I’d certainly welcome contact from the hotel regarding my stay. I have tried multiple times to contact them through other channels, all ignored by the hotel. As such - a definite “not recommended” from me despite the clean rooms, great location, great breakfast.
Side note, I also read some separate reviews from other travellers who’ve experienced racism and discrimination from the hotel staff. I guess that means my experience...
