OK, first things first: if you want something sweet and unhealthy like pancakes with lots of maple syrup, whipped cream, sprinkles and chocolate ice-cream on the side, you shouldn't be looking into this place at all. Now, as far as healthy protein bars go, it's one of the best. I did stop by in the afternoon, when it wasn't crowded, but I suspect it would be packed with people from the nearby gym at peak times.
The offerings are off three varieties: smoothies, protein oatmeal and protein cream. I tried the latter two (the smaller sizes on both) and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of flavours and toppings available to each. Whether it's nuts, dried or fresh fruits, seeds, crunchy cereal, you'll definitely find something to trigger your fancy.
Speaking of fancy, I liked the playful touch of adding stickers on your cup (eco friendly, biodegradable plastic) with a colour corresponding to your "availability status": green for singles, red for those in a relationship, and yellow for the...
Read moreI recently had the joy of indulging in a takeaway feast from Preens, a culinary hotspot in Dusseldorf renowned for its healthy and mouth-watering offerings.
The "Preens Bowl" was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavors that were both robust and satisfying. Accompanying it was the "Choco Loco Protein Shake", a heavenly blend that managed to be both nutritious and utterly delicious, leaving a tantalizing aftertaste that beckoned for more.
What impressed me further was the quick service. Despite opting for takeaway, the friendly waiters assisted me in choosing the perfect meal, displaying an eagerness to ensure a wonderful dining experience. Their recommendations were spot-on, enriching my culinary journey at Preens.
I am eagerly anticipating my next visit to Preens when I am back in Dusseldorf. It's not just a place to eat, but a destination where health meets taste in the most delightful manner. I wholeheartedly recommend Preens for anyone looking to enjoy a quick, healthy, and...
Read moreGreat place for healthy, protein-rich meals! The menu offers a selection of bowls, wraps, protein creams, shakes, and porridges. The large bowls are a generous size and packed with a variety of fresh ingredients. The pulled pork bowl was delicious: slightly warm pulled pork, creamy coleslaw, sweet corn, crunchy apples, and various other toppings on a bed of fresh iceberg lettuce. The honey BBQ sauce was a bit thick and better suited for a piece of meat than the bowl itself, but since it was served on the side for self-portioning, it didnât take away from the dish.
The service was friendly, and the ambience is clean.
An improvement suggestion: if guests decide to dine in, the dishes could be served in reusable bowls instead of disposable paper ones.
Great place for a quick,...
